Hello i have a quastion to people from China.Can you tell me when CCTV5 broadcasting badminton???Specially i`m interested in 19 and 20 september ????

CCTV-5 seems a little funny. They seem to have about two to two and a half hours a day of live coverage scheduled, starting at the round of 16, which is here...

...but it doesn't show a finishing time. The other days seem to show that 2 hours or so are planned.

On finals day (http://www.cctv.com/tvguide/11/01/20060924/5.shtml) they seem to have only 2h of coverage because of golf at midnight!!!

There doesn't seem to be any live coverage of the semi-finals (http://www.cctv.com/tvguide/11/01/20060923/5.shtml)but there will be a delayed broadcast on Sunday but only 1h25min. Cut short because of tennis!!

Now GDTV (http://www.gdtv.com.cn/newpage/sports/ttdb.asp) has changed it's tune somewhat, though:
09/22 23:30 羽毛球赛事选播(to 02:00)
09/23 09:00 羽毛球赛事选播(to 10:35)
09/24 19:25 羽毛球赛事选播 (to 20:40)
These all apparently mean "badminton coverage to be announced" or something.

To summarize CCTV-5, then, it's:

09/21 23:30 2006年世界羽毛球锦标赛(第十六轮) (to ?:00)
09/22 14:05 2006年世界羽毛球锦标赛(第十六轮) (to 15:40)
09/22 23:30 2006年世界羽毛球锦标赛(1/4决赛) (to 02:00)

09/24 13:25 2006年世界羽毛球锦标赛(半决赛、女双决赛)(直播周末) (to 14:50)

So it looks like live and taped broadcasts of the round of 16 and QF but no live coverage of the SF and taped coverage of the finals would likely be on Monday, the schedule for which is not yet available. Another funny thing is that the taped broadcast on Sunday afternoon seems to say SF plus WD finals. That might be the way the tournament is organized but it doesn't explain how they're going to pack all that into an hour and 25 minutes or, more to the point, how they're going to select what to drop.
