Anyone tried the above string before ? It is only 0.65mm, so the feel should be pretty good. Comments ?
Can get it string at Sportlinks (Queensway) for only $13.

Byro-Nenium 07-03-2001, 11:47 AM Its an ok string when its new but once it gets too old, your looking at strings that have lost so much tension that its a good 5lbs or so less Scooby 07-03-2001, 08:21 PM Thanks for the feedback Byron ! Hmm...think I will stick to BG85 for now. Wilson 07-04-2001, 12:59 AM Jus restring with my ISO 600 @ 24lbs....and guess what...it snap after 2 double match :( and I don't consider myself a hard hitter. Don't know why the shop guy recommend me this? Byro-Nenium 07-04-2001, 01:35 AM Wilson, i asked about your racket string breaking to Blitz or someone but i can't remember, did the string break in the centre of the hitting surface or at the side? Scooby 07-04-2001, 02:25 AM Oops ! My fren just send his gf racquet for restring. The racquet is a Cab 21 Special, and the tension is 23lbs ! Yikes ! I was thinking of cutting the BG68Ti (24lbs) on my MP100 and restringing with this, but I will think twice now. Reason being that BG68Ti does not give good control at all.... Thanks ! You guys potentially save me from grief ! Byro-Nenium 07-04-2001, 09:58 AM Don't worry the Cab 21 Special can take the tension, its quite a solid racket. I have 1 and its strung with a BG-65 Ti at 23lbs Kelly 07-04-2001, 08:55 PM There's a mail order outlet at http://racquetstringer.tripod.com that sells Forten and other strings. I've made a purchase from them awhile back. For me, the Gosen GS-88 string worked out fine at 20lbs on my Yang Yang 9000. Nice combo of power and control. Wilson 07-09-2001, 07:50 PM Bryo, it snap 2 string at the side, near to 3 or 9 o'clock. Byro-Nenium 07-09-2001, 10:06 PM Prehaps your gromments need to be changed, it may have cut the string because it might have been too old. jim 07-20-2001, 08:55 AM I've checked the place out. Pretty good to deal with. |
