Hi,

I used to be a C level player who just moved to Toronto. I haven't played in years, but have recently started to play again regularly and beleive i am close to C level and expect to exceed that level in the future. I want to join the mandarin club but not before i can find some people to play with me. Is there anyone interested?

I have been playing at Mandarin for almost two years. The club atmosphere is quite competitive and friendly. Once you come out to play a few times, you will find the right group to play with. We also have a master team for members 35+, an adult team for the competitive players and a junior team for youths under 19.

For your first time out, the receptionist will set you up. Usually it wont take long to make badminton friends on court.

Thanks for the information. The membership is not so cheap. I was just concerned of paying to be a member and then i wouldn't find anyone to play because there are pretty good players out there. I'm sure that the higher level players wouldn't want to play with me and it seems that the worst players are C level at mandarin. Well i might joing anyways and hope that i will find some people... anyone has an idea how many member currently play at mandarin?

I am also considering to switch to Mandarin, but it would be nice if someone could escort me there for a try out before I decide. :p

me and my friend is planning to join too...since the junior fees are not too bad...i calculated it that it'll cost me $49 a month, and if i play more than 10 times (assuming i pay $5 each time i play, which is the usual cost at most social badminton places) i'll get my money's worth...

but just don't know how the system works...ie is it drop in or court reservation
