If you consider Lin Dan as a choker than I don't mind all the Malaysian players as chokers too :D Come on, he won more than 50% of the tournament he participated, can you name any other players that have similar achievement? Why support nations [especially your own]? Because it is fun! Especially if your own countrymen/women are good at badminton... It is healthy because it unites the country. A plural and easily divided country like INA needs unity. ;) :)

For those who can only be fans of individual players, well that's up to you. :p This often/usually happens [though not in all cases] to badminton fans whose country of origin does not have a good National Team and top players. I can understand that...

I might behave the same way too if I were in their position. :p But I would not criticize all the other fans who support nations and call the practice "sick". Supporting nations is a lot of fun, unites fans [of INA, MAS, KOR etc.] and makes the games more worth watching/following. ;) It is good for badminton!

Surely I wasn't bored in the 1970s and 1990s when INA dominated Men's badminton and for a few years in the 1990s, the women's game too. It was a lot of fun! :D Winning is fun!

In the 1980s, well, INA didn't really dominate. Most can argue China dominated. In the Sudirman Cup, yes INA won in 1989, at the inaugural event... :) However, CHN won the Thomas Cup in 1982, 1986, 1988, and 1990. INA only in 1984. Uber Cup... well CHN won all decade long... :p

Then in the All England, World Championship etc. CHN clearly won more than INA in total... They had Han Jian, Yang Yang, Zhao Jianhua, Han Aiping, and Li Lingwei etc.

If I were u, I should be very proud because now it's CHN versus the rest of the world & CHN is the one to beat. I really hope that it'll be MAS versus the rest of the world & MAS is the one to beat someday in the future. I guess INA fans also wish it's INA versus the rest of the world too. Remember, during mid 80's when CHN female volley ball team versus All-star team & guess what, CHN still won it. Could u explain how u felt at that time? Did u call it wars?

World Championship has no effect on the players' SuperSeries standing... Players just need to continue doing well at the SuperSeries that are left: Japan-Denmark-France-China-Hong Kong... If TH does well in the 5 tournaments... such as becoming at least a semifinalist all 5 times... and going to the finals 3 times... then he has a decent chance to qualify.

....unless, of course, the other players continue to outperform him... so that in the end there are 8 players ahead of him in the Superseries standings. Right now TH is number 21...:o

INA XD can beat CHN XD and thank JAP WD for working GL overtime.
INA MS can beat CHN MS if INA coach get the tactics right in 2 games.
Does that mean there's a high possibility of 5 new world champions if the MS defending champion lost?

CHN won 4 World Championship titles last year. INA could not even manage to put one semifinalist last year... :o :o Were we intentionally 'generous' last year and 'greedy' this year... :D :p Anyway... I think realistically, INA won't get 3 titles... 1 would be great, 2 fantastic, 3... I will start to donate money to PBSI... :p
