Hi. I'm just starting to play badminton and I'm planning on buying a bag to put some rackets. I'm just wondering what you are using to separate your rackets to avoid scratches or you just put them side by side? Do you use the plastic and/or the original cover that goes with the racket when you purchase it?
I don't have much money so I want to take good care of my rackets as much as possible and avoid unnecessary scratches or cracks.
Thanks in advance. :)

you might consider a piece of cardboard, dont make it too thick if not you cant put much rackets, most of all it must not be sharp so that it wont scrape off the paint of your rackets

1. If your bag is small, and you have quite a few rackets to carry, you don't want anything more to eat up the limited space, as well as adding on weight.
2. If the bag is big, and you have less than 2-3 rackets, you can simplying use the original cover.
3. If enough space, but quite a few rackets, consider get the "head cover" only, to protect the head frame and string bed.
4. Never put sharp stuff (e.g. knife, cutter, etc) right next to the racket. :o

my bag's just 1 big mess, it very rarely gets scratched, so i just dump everything in.
Well you can use some of ur t-shirts to put in between your rackets if you want to "prevent" it from getting scratched from other rackets.

go buy thin sheets of vinyl from a craft store. its super cheap and thin. then cut out litttle frame sized peices and just throw them into your bag.
i got a few of those from when i had some extra vinyl left from a project for school.
then theres a crapload of racquet covers i have from racquets, and theres a couple little head covers (i love these the most, but they're in such high demand!)
and yes, ants' suggest is awesome. i do that whenever i need to find room for another shirt or something. i just shove it between a frame or two.

Don't know if this is true or not but I read that if you use sweaty T-shirts for this it can ruin the strings and your tension. Is that true?
Obviously you can use that technique on the way to the gym, but no on the way back. :D

Halloooo...BDMNTBDMNTN...Ohhhh...what a difficult name to say it.:)
I have my badminton bag from Yonex (Yonex 2424 6 Racquet Thermal Bag). It is really cooperative in keeping my rackets. I have 5 pieces inside and other related stuff to my training. I always put the original cover from the racket I purchased. Some of them just covering the head shape and the other one is covering the whole body of the racket. and until now I got no scratch (thanks God). Of course never put sharp utensil inside. Heeee...
Beside, I put always in my bag. Never let them laying around uncovered. and I store it in my wardrobe to keep the temperature. Of course you do should not buy the bag like I have if you have only one racket BUT you may buy it when you bring your indoor shoes and towel and other related stuff.
So, you can relax now.
