Hi, I currently live in Prince Edward Island. I'm trying out for the Canada winter games in 2007(might as well say im on the team). The thing is though that i'm going to u of Ottawa starting in January and i'm going to need a place to train/practice until I go to the games. I was wondering i anyone could tell/point me in the right direction as to where I could possibly do this. I don't mind paying a price to go but I was wondering if there was a place where I could pay only for the time that I will be going because affter that i'll mostly be studying and doing other school stiff:p. You might want to check out www.soong.ca and maybe join one of Dominic Soong's training programs. If you don't know who he is, Dominic Soong is a level 4 coach based out of Ottawa. I think at some point he may have been the coach for the ontario team for the canada games (not exactly sure about this) and I know for sure that he was the coach of the university of ottawa team when they used to compete in the OUA. The Sunday night competitive class can be pretty good, and the training facility is only about 10-15 minutes walking distance from the university.
I don't know if it would still be possible to join the university of ottawa competitive club- it's essentially a group of competitive players who train at the university (they hold tryouts in the fall). However, many of those players do train at the place I mentioned above, so it would be a good place to meet some of them, and maybe even set up additional training sessions.
Good luck in ottawa!

I would sugges the RA Centre. The top players in Canada like Andrew Dabeka, Mike Beres etc reside here.
www.racentre.com (http://www.racentre.com). Contact Mike Bitten for more info as he is the head coach. Saturday at noon is elite training.
