As I read in KOMPAS today's edition (10/10/06), TH certainly will not participate to this invitational tourney because tight schedule that he must followed along this month. For the replacement of him, probably BWF will invite Sony and Simon but PBSI has not yet received confirmation/e-mail about this so far. I guess another reason for TH's absentee in WC/06 (honestly, never like this name because World Cup is 100% identical with Football) is the schedule unfortunately clash with INA's big public-holiday 'I.Fitri' so maybe it's hard for him to leave INA without celebrate it.

Yeah... What the heck is the different between world cup and world championship... I dont think the prestige is more than any 6 star events.

Taufik is not going to Yi Yang?? I thod he once stated that he really wanted to go to Yi Yang. He said something like: "Of course I haf to extremely fight in the World Series for this tournament has a different level of prestige..."

Can you pls give us the exact paragraph saying that?

And btw, if a player doesn't join the invitational match, does chance for them to participate in the World Series is out of question?

Am still not really familiar with this World Cup/Series thingy...

- he needed the practice.
- he want to move up the ranking so he dont have to slug it out with some good players on early rounds.

and he also wants to test how strong his stamina is, becos this is the first time for taufik playing 3 tournaments in a row

is this invitational Cup not included in the IBF points system? that's what i heard and the reason why so many players skip this one.
