..hehe..from the pic, at least to my eyes, looks like Taufik has gained just a taaaad bit of extra weight(maybe it's the baggy clothing in mid section/lower torso area)..hope he won't look like Haryanto Arbi after retiring.. ;) :) :D
BTW, thanks seawell for all the pics you've provided/shared..;)

Here's some quarterfinal pics. I love some of the Chinese team because they always seem to have fun. They played hackysack as a warmup before playing:p .

I noticed none of the Japanese players have their rackets stencils with Yonex logo. Anyone have explanation on that?

Oh my, Jens Eriksen/Martin Lundgaard Hansen received a yellow card? What happened, Bobatea?

Jens Eriksen/Martin Lundgaard Hansen got pissed at a line call and since they were already at the limit with each other because of how horrible they were playing, Martin Lundgaard Hansen just thwacked the bird sitting at the end of their side and sent it flying behind the signs. He apologized after doing it, but it was already done and the bird was unusable because of the action, so they got a yellow card. Both Jens and Martin didn't argue it because they knew they deserved it.

I'll ask my club later about that. You'll have to wait until Thursday though...

excellent point, especially considering YY is a japanese company ... strange that they wouldn't endorse it that way ...

I still have to confirm whether or not this is the reason they don't have the stencil, but they aren't necessarily endorsed directly by Yonex. If you look on the back of their shirts, you don't see a big Yonex logo and their name. You'll see something else like NTT West or East, or Unisys. Professional players in Japan aren't necessarily just pro players. They belong to a company and compete for a company. While most of their time is spent training and playing their sport, they do occassionally walk into the office to do some small thing before heading off to practice.

Interesting, LCW has revert back to NS8K...

Not surprising to me. My experience, the NS7000 and 8000 are more consistent then the NS9000S/X. The 9000s are definitely more powerful but LCW doesn't need more power, he has plenty, I'm sure he wants more consistency, hence the switch back.
