There's nothing sorry for. I knew what you meant, and I totally agree, that's the reason I said, hope LD plays his worst, which equals to TH plays his best. Anyway, no matter plays best or worst, at that moment, the winner should be the best in the world. But things could go differently on the other day.

By the way, Lin Dan has a long straight wins now, back from the disappointed end of Malaysia open, he won Taipei Open, Macau Open, Hong Kong Open, World Championship, ...now Japan Open.

Especially the World Championship, Malaysia National Sports Council spent almost RM500k (only for air tickets, accomodation, foods & expenses in Madrid), BUT eventually what is the RESULT??? Until the Deputy Prisident of Malaysia National Sports Council denounced "MONEY FOR NOTHING" in the local media.

What I want to say here is, everyone have rights to support the sportmans they like BUT just accept the "fact & result" when their "idol sportmans' is lost!!!

It is going a bit far to say that he can simply choose when to win or lose. But I think what people are trying to say is that he's very unpredictable and depending on how he's feeling or how much he wants it he may or may not play at his best. This isn't to say he WILL win, but if he really wants it there's no question about the fact he has a much better chance of obtaining it than if he didn't.

Actually I think TH and LD a little bit above LCW. Skill-wise, PG & LCW is better than LD but LD has better game play and mental strength which puts LD (overall) in 2nd place behind TH.

LCW committed nothing but errors afterwards, lost 11 consecutive points, which made Taufik rally from behind to win unexpected even by Taufik himself. Some people pointed out that LCW's collapse was basically a mental collapse, he suddenly could do nothing other than making errors.

Well, it depends on where you live. It's a sure thing from your location. But if on internet, google search gives 13,000,000 results for searching Lin Dan, while 171,000 results for searching Taufik Hidayat.

I think Lin Dan will lose the 1st game easily to Taufik on purpose, to show that Taufik is well prepared, in excellent form, and determined to win, then beat him convincely in the next two games. Therefore, there will be no excuse for Taufik anymore. :rolleyes:
