No offence to chinese but seriously, I always feel irritated with Chinese websites designs because it's full of junks, with the irrelevant flash animations flying here and there. And the main headlines/subject are hard to be identified. I often crack my head to find, Where is the subject I'm supposed to click..

Heard the male commentator (some chinese national coach or something) mentioned during TH and NW's match that the chinese regards TH as their top threat in MS. Apparently they have some high regard/respect for his talents. Several time in the match commentary, TH was referred to as the "tian cai qui yuan" (genius/gifted player).

Guo ZD regular partner is Xie Zhongbo. If I am not wrong, Zheng Bo replaced Xie after his injury couple of months ago. Not too sure whether this partnership is permanent but more likely to be a trial. Guo was partnered with Xu Chen while Zheng with Xie in Japan Open...

With Guo/Zheng demised and the withdrawal of He Hanbin/Shen Ye due to injury, MD is still Chn's weakest link... my 2cts..

It's their weakest link even though Fu/Cai are World #1's and recently crowned World Champions. Even their weakest link will look good on any other nation's cards.

But surely i do support Bao Chun Lai...:p:D :D :D
the only way LD can lose to TH is if LD panic or mentally recall his past lost to TH due to nervousness which cause him to panic:D

11-10 to TH.

why is Tine Rasmussen always get XXF in the first round?

Very good question.

XXF already meet Tine R in first round three tournamnets in a row started from WC2006, JO2006 and now China Open.

The same can be said if LCW and Boonsak play the same tournaments, they always meet at QF. LD always meet Hafiz in QF if they both enter the same events.

And of course Judith M always gets the same quarter draw with ZN.

Probably IBF or now BWF too lazy to do drawing. They already had a draw pattern. If this players enter the same tournaments they will always meet.

The only thing to change it if Tine can raise her ranking to top 8, so she will not meet XXF in first round. The same also can be said to Hafiz. If he can push into top 4, he will not meet LD in QF anymore.

I think Chen Jin has slight edge. CJ is more complete than LD. TH cannot get easy points by just say concentrating on the net area.

While Taufik was in Japan Open and getting his butt kicked... I hope you're not thinking that instead of practicing and being prepared, Chen Jin was sitting at home watching TV, and eating pork-chop dinner instead.

If LYB did his job right, Chen Jin should be very well prepared to win against anybody. Honestly, Chen Jin is hungry for winning more major titles and probably more hungry for it than most players today.

In the "worst case", LYB will probably "demand" Chen Jin to do everything to push Taufik into 3rd set and drain as much of Taufik's stamina as possible... then guess what.. more China players waiting to take him out.

If that's to happen, Taufik will re-gain more of my respect if he can make it to the final EVEN IF he is to lose in the final... of course even more respect if somehow he can manage to win.:p But the chance is slim, as the great wall of China is thicker than you expect.:p:p

It will be an interesting matchup between Taufik vs Chen Jin, if Chen Jin allow Taufik to control the net then CJ will lose. My pick is Taufik for simple reason, I don't want to see all Chinese-affair in SF :D

First, the point in preparation is not to fall into your opponent's strength. If Chen Jin is smart and LYB coach him properly, then Chen should know what to do and at least try to avoid playing into Taufik's strength.

Secondly, When you see an all Chinese-affair in SF, do you see two China flags waving on each side of the court and the shuttle just bounce back and forth??? If not, then what's the difference between all Chinese-affair and non all Chinese-affair??? It's the players that count, not the country.:eek: When will people understand that a match between let's say LD vs CH is probably more enjoyable to watch than a match between LD vs Hafiz especially when LD just owned him for free.:p

Exactly, and what will Boonsak have to do to force Taufik to run around??? Also, Taufik is not just going to let people control him in the game, and just follow his opponent's game-plan. So chances are Boonsak will have to be playing way above his game to stand a good chance against Taufik unless of course Taufik becomes "unpredictable" or "unstable" again.:p

How can at through these days someone still cannot made a difference between an opinion and bad mouthing players.

Come on, indobollehh, ctcjad is only give his opinion. He is not saying that TH will lost. Of course NG Wei will need a miracle to win TH cause he didn't had the level and skill to win TH. No matter what strategy been told to him.

But Boonsak is talented and his skill is good enough to had chances to win against TH. Yes TH still had biggest chances 55:45 against Boonsak. But that doesn't mean he will 100% win tomorrow.

This year, TH already lost to Boonsak once in Thomas Cup qualification. So Boonsak had chances to do so again tomorrow although his chances is not very big. But it still a chance. :)

..IndoBOLEHH, i think Ng Wei gave it his all in the match..But like hcpoirot wrote, not to undermine Ng Wei's level, but IMO, his level is still below that of LD/TH/PG/LCW(to name a few)..;)
And if you guys recall last yr's QF match between Boonsak and Taufik, Boonsak actually gave Taufik a run for his money(IIRC, Boonsak played Taufik's own game quite nicely also)... :p ;) :D

My 2 cents... Ponsana is same level as Ng Wei. Not up there with the big guns. He'll probably have same or slightly better result than Ng Wei had vs Taufik.
I think it's a matter of playing style, I think Ponsana's game might rattle Taufk a little more than most other players.

No.. that's defintiely not true. eg. 1st round. Taufik vs. Bobby Milroy and Sony vs KBH in Korean open this year I think... definitely not going to be TH vs BM as the match of the round.:p

Also means he has a lower ranking, and almost must play the good players early, while LD on the other hand gets all the "byes" and easier opponent. It does not mean Taufik is special, only means he doesn't rank high enough to be seeded.

Hey..CJ muz get through Kuan Beng Hong before he meet TH...i think KBH will give him a tough fight tml...n KBH will win.....KBH has recovered a little bit from his slump after the Thomas Cup disaster. He has taken CJ to the limit during the WC.And this speaks well of KBH's true potential,as we all know CJ will be the next Great Wall of China.Slowly but surely LI Mao will turn KBH into a world class player.Be patient if KBH has not perfomed to expectation.Hendrawan,Zhang Ning and POul-Erik Hoyer-Larsen are good examples of players who did well late in their playing days. Most of all all players must understand that if you have given all your best, you will still be respected.

Gotta say those two put up a much better fight than Hafiz in Thailand against CJ or WC06 against LD.

BAM needs to build up some potential players to replace those whom made a name for himself then just never perform again if you know whom I mean.:p At least they will have a chance to compete against the top players, and not be more like a tourist to visit a stadium and gone after the third day of competition.:p
