Ai Mei 10-21-2006, 07:54 AM yeah me too........i was so nervous when he almost lose at the second set he has played very well today i hopehe can win china open hehehehehehe jia you bao jia you bao vellin 10-21-2006, 07:57 AM yeah.. hope he can be the winner tomorrow.. just now i thought lin dan will won the match. but i'm so happy finally bao won.. He did a nice job.. Congratulations to him.. modious 10-21-2006, 08:00 AM I'm impressed with BCL mental strength. He was calm and did not panic even when he was trailing 9-17 in the 2nd set. But LD seemed to be making alot of unforced errors rather than BCL winning the points outright. badders2006 10-21-2006, 08:01 AM im prety sure LD is not too bothered he lost... in fact it wud not b too much to say LD wouldnt mind if he lost comin in2 this match.. so he loses to his comrade - no prob - gold to china is most important n BCL can use those rankin points.. my proof? when they shook hands u see a big grin on LD's face like dis ;) CHN to take 4 spots of the top 5 ranks! LilyC 10-21-2006, 08:01 AM HE MADE IT THROUGH!!! Oh yea~~ :) woodenRacket 10-21-2006, 08:14 AM I'm impressed with BCL mental strength. But LD seemed to be making alot of unforced errors rather than BCL winning the points outright. and intentionally woodenRacket 10-21-2006, 08:17 AM nor mean to insult Bao, but this victory is so weird. for the team's benefit, uh? modious 10-21-2006, 08:18 AM and intentionally it would seem that way but we'll never really know. ;) woodenRacket 10-21-2006, 08:22 AM im prety sure LD is not too bothered he lost... in fact it wud not b too much to say LD wouldnt mind if he lost comin in2 this match.. so he loses to his comrade - no prob - gold to china is most important n BCL can use those rankin points.. my proof? when they shook hands u see a big grin on LD's face like dis ;) CHN to take 4 spots of the top 5 ranks! really? that obvious? :D freelast 10-21-2006, 08:29 AM Lin Dan lost to Bao, that's exactly I predicted. Haha Ai Mei 10-21-2006, 08:36 AM nor mean to insult Bao, but this victory is so weird. for the team's benefit, uh? hey, i think u insult him......he had tried his best why dont u appreciate his winning? he had tried his best he almost lost at the 2nd set woodenRacket 10-21-2006, 08:43 AM hey, i think u insult him......he had tried his best why dont u appreciate his winning? he had tried his best he almost lost at the 2nd set i really dont want to insult, on the contrary i am happay that he wins. phaarix 10-21-2006, 08:47 AM Wow congratulations BCL! That's quite a win, but I'll have to wait till I can watch the match myself before I can decide whether or not I think LD gave the game to Bao. I really don't think he would though... I mean if they are friends shouldn't LD show his respect to BCL by doing his best? zqloy 10-21-2006, 08:47 AM He had beaten both LCW and LD this year, which those 2 was the worst nighmare of Bao. Congrats to Bao! Hubert 10-21-2006, 09:05 AM I don't think its intentional... look at bao's reaction after he win...its a total lungs out.... just like modious said, bao showed mental toughness and didn't show discouragement even trailing on second set... and LD loosen his grip on the ending part of second and he pay the price.... LD is my idol... but its okay.. in a game, everyone will lose a fight, and everyone has its day.. and this day is for Bao.... jia you Bao... and LD, i still salute you.... awesome smash power and all .... -hubert- (Filipino, working in China, ... a baddict (badminton addict) :) BTW.... I've been observing LD's racket, and somehow his racket grip is only half through the shaft handle... even showing the wood upper part....i am just curious why he made it like this? I've been asking chinese colleagues here to find an answer in any chinese net forums but can't find any answer.... hope anyone here knows about it... thank you very much... sugar_free 10-21-2006, 09:29 AM He had beaten both LCW and LD this year, which those 2 was the worst nighmare of Bao. Congrats to Bao! Hehe, the ex-world junior champion is back... And its just like in the world junior championship 2000, when lin was beaten by bao in the semifinal, and the next day bao become the champ... I hope the same thing will happen tomorrow... Jia you, Baobao!!! modious 10-21-2006, 09:48 AM addict) :)[/I] BTW.... This has been discussed before in this forum. LD likes to hold the handle near the centre as shown in the Badminton Central pic above. The towel grip is only halfway up the handle so as to "force" LD to hold the handle lower. *izzyC* 10-21-2006, 09:49 AM BTW.... Syaoran_Style 10-21-2006, 02:16 PM That's really amazing for Bao Chunlai ! This year he was "Mr Runner Up" and now i wish he will be the winner ! He really deserves it ! I really hope him to become Mr Winner :D :D but CH is going to be defending his China Open :( :crying: let BCL win! :D ;) rlaurel_7 10-21-2006, 04:29 PM Wow die hard fans.. thats nice to see well i think its just an upset to the World # 1. On sunday i hope Chen Hong wins! jia you!! Angelou 10-21-2006, 05:01 PM I have to admit bao was playing a very patient and very confident game, but even though he was consistent and persistent through out the game Lin Dan wasn't. His shots were completely different in the last half, no enthusiam, and slower pace. Bao's patience and creativity was very inspirational, but the last set was a disappointment for me, simply b/c Lin Dan ,IMO, was very willing to give this game up . . . stupid Lin Dan should of made Bao work his point to make the game interesting not blowing them into the net. Hubert 10-21-2006, 08:09 PM izzyC, thanks for the link on LD's grip discussion... its informative indeed... and LD's grip still look untidy... :) |
