Any latest results? yingcheng 10-24-2006, 06:35 AM zhang ning 2-0 chen li (21-10, 21-17) Richie_Rich 10-24-2006, 06:46 AM Newzealand player Eric Pang upset China Open champion Chen Hong in straight set 21-16 21-19 !!! Dreamzz 10-24-2006, 06:54 AM Newzealand player Eric Pang upset China Open champion Chen Hong in straight set 21-16 21-19 !!! that's an amazing result for eric. he plays for netherlands though, doesn't he? tubby 10-24-2006, 07:07 AM Is anyone really surprised that CH lost! After winning at the weekend and beating CJ and BCL he must have used up all of his endurance and mental strength. Well done to Eric though for taking advantage of it. Richie_Rich 10-24-2006, 07:19 AM Sorry, Eric Pang is Netherlands player, correct my previous mistake. Eric is Yao Jie's boyfren, he currently rank 12 in world ranking. Richie_Rich 10-24-2006, 07:34 AM Bao CL lost to teammate Chen Yu 1-2, another small upset! Peter_ned 10-24-2006, 07:40 AM Eric is indeed a Dutch player! Dreamzz 10-24-2006, 07:52 AM hmmmm, so the 2 CO finalist both lost their opening games eh? must have been really tired from their exploits last week then, i suppose CH's loss is more surprising than BCL's. Peter_ned 10-24-2006, 08:22 AM Another CO finalist lost. Yao Jie(NED) lost woth 10-21 and 10-21 of Yihan Wang(CHN). She was too tired from last week. yuval_ba 10-24-2006, 08:34 AM it does not seem wise to compete in so many tournaments back-to-back, especially if you did well on the previous one or won it. if a player wins a tournament I think he should take a little rest and not push it too much. Tennis pros do it all the time. verinee@yey 10-24-2006, 08:36 AM does anyone know the result of kido/setiawan vs hk pair? yingcheng 10-24-2006, 08:46 AM Newzealand player Eric Pang upset China Open champion Chen Hong in straight set 21-16 21-19 !!!     LazyBuddy 10-24-2006, 09:21 AM hmmmm, so the 2 CO finalist both lost their opening games eh? must have been really tired from their exploits last week then, i suppose CH's loss is more surprising than BCL's. Well, not that surprising to me. Overall, CH is older than BCL, which means slower recovery. hcpoirot 10-24-2006, 09:35 AM it does not seem wise to compete in so many tournaments back-to-back, especially if you did well on the previous one or won it. if a player wins a tournament I think he should take a little rest and not push it too much. Tennis pros do it all the time. Agree. How come IBF or WBF do a lousy scheduling the events. From last September to October, there were 4 big events. Mean while February did not had any events except for Thomas Cup qualification. LD, XXF and ZN already play WC2006, JO2006, CO2006 and now World Cup. ZN play the most matches. She play in WC final and won both JO and CO. Still she win in today matches. Talking about stamina. Probably CH and BCL had to learn a few trick from her. :D hcpoirot 10-24-2006, 09:43 AM Interesting result is: Zhang J/Gao L win 2-1 against Zheng B/ Zhao TT. Is this mean Z Bo back pairing with Zhao TT? The other suprised results is Polii/Muh lost to Philipine Mix pairs 0-2 . What? Mean while LD win easy 2-0 against John Moody from NZL. hcpoirot 10-24-2006, 09:46 AM With CH lost to Eric Pang, his chances to play for Asian Games become a bit small. One country only can send 2 MS,WS,MD,MD and MXD in individual event. LD is obviously already got pick to play in Asian Games. Who will LYB pick after LD? Maybe BCL or CJ. CH still got a chance if he can win Denmark Open . LazyBuddy 10-24-2006, 09:46 AM Talking about stamina. Probably CH and BCL had to learn a few trick from her. :D No offense, but I have to say, the MS seems to be more competitive than WS when you look at the gap in between skill levels. ZN hardly meet any serious threat until maybe semi final stages, while the MS could be "do or die" from round 1. Just look at BCL has to battle TH in 1st round in JO. blessing 10-24-2006, 09:47 AM Sorry, Eric Pang is Netherlands player, correct my previous mistake. Eric is Yao Jie's boyfren, he currently rank 12 in world ranking.any picture of eric pang?? hcpoirot 10-24-2006, 09:54 AM No offense, but I have to say, the MS seems to be more competitive than WS when you look at the gap in between skill levels. ZN hardly meet any serious threat until maybe semi final stages, while the MS could be "do or die" from round 1. Just look at BCL has to battle TH in 1st round in JO. Yet with BCL lost in JO first round, and CH lost in QF JO, they had lots of time to rest. Mean while ZN or LD didnot had any time to rest cause they win all the time. So it will be very bad for CH to lost to Eric Pang just because he win CO final in 2 sets. Did I fail to mention that ZN had to fight against XXF twice in final and she is already over 30? BCL lost to Chen Yu still understandable cause they are teammates and play each other so many times. Dreamzz 10-24-2006, 09:55 AM Well, not that surprising to me. Overall, CH is older than BCL, which means slower recovery. i guess you're right in that sense, it's just that i think that chen yu is a more dangerous opponent than eric pang, no offence to eric though. which is why i said i'm more surprised with CH's loss. hcpoirot 10-24-2006, 09:56 AM With CH lost to Eric. His chance to become group winner become very small. Not to mention he had to play TH next. Even if he won, his chances still small cause he lost 2 sets to Eric. hcpoirot 10-24-2006, 09:59 AM i guess you're right in that sense, it's just that i think that chen yu is a more dangerous opponent than eric pang, no offence to eric though. which is why i said i'm more surprised with CH's loss. Agree. If I had to choose Netherlands MS, I had to say Dicky Palyama is more dangerous player than Eric Pang. Dreamzz 10-24-2006, 10:04 AM Agree. If I had to choose Netherlands MS, I had to say Dicky Palyama is more dangerous player than Eric Pang. yup, agreed, over the last couple of years, dicky's results have been far more impressive. isn't dicky the no.1 dutch MS player? m_poppema 10-24-2006, 04:09 PM Yeah you're right Dreamzz, he won the last 7 Dutch Championships.. BUT....Eric Pang is no. 12 in de world where Dicky is 'just' no. 13.. For pictures of Eric Pang, just google a bit ;) yingcheng 10-24-2006, 06:57 PM With CH lost to Eric Pang, his chances to play for Asian Games become a bit small. CH still got a chance if he can win Denmark Open . for ur information, LYB already annouced the player list of Asian Game on sunday..LD, BCL & CJ will go to Asian Game...CH can't go even he won the China Open:( CH feels a little bit disappointed but he understand the team wanna provide chance to CJ for playing in BIG events Baderz_Jas 10-25-2006, 03:16 AM for ur information, LYB already annouced the player list of Asian Game on sunday..LD, BCL & CJ will go to Asian Game...CH can't go even he won the China Open:( CH feels a little bit disappointed but he understand the team wanna provide chance to CJ for playing in BIG events he's very unlucky :( even though he's not going to Asian Game, he will be going to Denmark Open.... :D :( Baderz_Jas 10-25-2006, 03:21 AM Thank you for the links, jia you China :D |
