If anyone lives in downtown Toronto there is a community centre just north of the citytv building. It's called university settlement. Times are Sun. 9am-noon and Wed. 6pm-9pm. I'm not sure on price but i think it's $5 a visit and you need an annual membership that costs $10.

I've been there, good place for some fun badminton. There are a few more competitive players that play on wednesday compared to sundays. Website: http://www.usrc.ca/
