Met a person from Denmark yesterday. So I just had to ask if he played badminton (typical badmintonfanatic question):D
Unfortunately he only used to play. He got quite impressed when I mentioned I knew JR and Thomas!:D:D:D hehehe
He also said badminton players are treated like superstars back in Denmark.

Ha Ha. I work in a Danish company and there are about 20 Danes around and surprise surprise, almost none of them play or interested in badminton. They are more interested in football, golf, tennis and even motor racing. What is the odd of that given Denmark's tradition in producing world class badminton players?

all the scandinavians seem to be very well rounded people, they play all sorts of sports.
it just so happens that the danes really excel at badminton, but i don't think it's the dominant sport by any means.
it'll still prolly be football ...

So, you mean Peter Gade made the wrong choice when he was young? :D

Indeed. In Denmark, it's football, handball, and badminton, in that order.
Surprisingly, gymnastics is also a huge sport for the masses, but not on an elite level.

It would be like asking any Americans if they play baseball or basketball. Maybe, but not necessarily.

or american football, the only badminton most people know is restricted to PE style with birds that don't fly and 150g rackets. I think we should all make a pact that if any of us get rich, we should make badminton mainstreamed here.
