Team Indonesia is eyeing titles in MD, WD, and XD (with a small chance at WS).
MEN'S SINGLES
Bobby Milroy vs Lee Tsuen Tseng -- Bobby upsetted the top seed in 3 hard-fought sets yesterday (rubber set score is 22-20 ). But, the Malaysian should have an edge.
Sairul Amar Ayob vs Rune Ulsing -- Sairul should take this one, considering his opponent is a qualifer!
Wu Yunyong vs Ajay Jayaram -- the Chinese will win.
Wong Choong Hann vs Dicky Palyama (MATCH OF THE ROUND) -- what a match..the recently recovered Malaysian vs the home player. I pick the Malaysian to win!
MEN'S DOUBLES
Rasmus Mangor Andersen/Peter Buur Steffensen vs Rian Sukmawan/Eng Hian -- a tough tie for Rian/Eng Hian. Still, I think they can win the tie.
Thomas Tesche/Michael Fuchs vs Tan Bin Shen/Ong Soon Hock -- easy for the Malaysian pair.
Vitalij Durkin/Alexandr Nikolaenko vs Hendra A. Gunawan/Joko Riyadi (MATCH OF THE ROUND) -- another tricky tie for the INA no 3 pair. They should win and progress to the semi-final.
Robert Adcock/Robin Middleton vs Ashley Brehaut/Aji Sindoro Basuki -- this is the 3rd English opponents for the Australian pair. They should win since they beat the more experienced Ian Palethorpe/Kristian Roebuck yesterday.
WOMEN'S SINGLES
Li Wenyan vs Maria Kristin Yulianti -- a tricky tie for Maria and I hope she progresses!
Yao Jie vs Huang Chia-Chi (MATCH OF THE ROUND) -- Yao to win in front of the home crowd.
Wang Linling vs Pai Min Jie -- the Chinese to take it, after an impressive victory over Judith Meulendijks 2 days ago.
Petra Overzier vs Adriyanti Firdasari -- also a huge tie for Firda. Can she reach her first semi-final this year?
WOMEN'S DOUBLES
Petya Nedeltcheva/Diana Dimova vs Laura Choinet/Elisa Chanteur
Mie Schjott-Kristensen/Christina Pedersen vs Rani Mundiasti/Endang Nur Sugianti (MATCH OF THE ROUND) -- tricky, but should be manageable for Rani/Endang.
Katrin Piotrowski/Michaela Peiffer vs Karina De Wit/Betty Krab
Marina Yakusheva/Elena Schimko vs Lim Pek Siah/Joanne Quay Swee Ling -- the second-seeded Malaysian pair should win.
MIXED DOUBLES
Wouter Claes/Nathalie Deschamps vs Flandy Limpele/Vita Marissa -- it will be atrocious if Flandy/Vita do not win the title here!
Svetoslav Stoyanov/Elodie Eymard vs Kristian Roebuck/Natalie Munt (MATCH OF THE ROUND) -- the English pair should take it!
Robert Adcock/Sarah Bok vs Devin Lahardi/Yunita Tetty -- the INA pair should win it!
Robert Blair/Jenny Wallwork vs Sebastian Vincent/Julie Delaune

agree.. but not sure with firda... what i found from the score board last couple of days firda is a defense player.. she doesn't attack alot.... she took the point from net and good placing.... but petra is quite tall... will firda able to defense here area and does some good crosscourt dropshot ?
if she can.. will be all indonesian final i suppose....
coz i think maria will be on her way to her second final in europe!!!

Firda isn't defense player, much defferent style with Fransisca. She tall and has agressive play with sharp smash & drop shot. She still couldn't manage her potentially. Look like will battle of same playing style.
Don't under estimate to Li Wen Yan, I think Maria will face tough opponent.

LEE TSUEN SENG VS BOBBY MILROY
i think that lee tsuen tseng has an advantage!!he is malaysian experience player!!
WONG CHOONG HANN VS DICKY PALYAMA (MATCH OF THE ROUND)
i think that wong choong hann has an advantage but dicky palyama is a good player!!but not as good as wong choong hann!! but wong choong hann out for so long!! can he beat dicky palyama again?i think this will be rouble set
SAIRUL AMAR AYOB VS Rune Ulsing
sairul amar ayob will win!!and rune ulsing is very lousy!! the match is advantage to sairul amar ayOB
THOMAS TESCHE-MICHAEL FUCHS vs TAN BIN SHEN -ONG SOON HOCK-- easy for the Malaysian pair.should be no problem to enter the semi final
MARINA YAKUSHEVA-ELENA SCHIMIKO VS LIM PEK SIAH-JOANNA QUAY SWEE LING

Sandy has also mentioned some good stuffs about Sylvinna Kurniawan. Where did you see her play? As I mentioned in the Singapore Satellite thread, I watched a young Chinese-Indonesian player (Melicia Kurniawan) being trained by the ex-Pelatnas coach Liang Chiu Hsia, and probably representing Tangkas. She still looked pretty raw and probably lack the match experience.
I also saw Djarum's boss in Singapore, Pak Victor Hartono.
Here's a small excerpt from Bola on his comments regarding the upcoming Kejurnas in Medan (National Championships).

Currently Djarum placed the most player but not the top player. This is effect of 90s Djarum cut the budget of Badminton club because any Trading Regulation by BPPC in "Orde Baru" era.
Looking the some results in end of 90s and early 2000s, Djarum wasn't as dominate as last 3 years. In that time Tangkas was better than other clubs.

Chinese is an ethnic group, Indonesia is another. But Muslin is a religion. People can always change their religion anytime with or without reasons. While people cannot chance their ethnic group, cannot change their race.
There are lots of Muslim in China itself. So there must more Chinese Muslim in Indonesia, because Indo is a Muslim country. And also most people may deny they are Chinese even though they are ethnic Chinese.
