Bao is the only player in CHN national team lost to Taufik:

Lin Dan won Taufik 5:0 in a row.
Chen Hong won Taufik 2:0 recently
Chen Jin won Taufik 1:0 in the debut
Only Bao lost to Taufik 0:2 in a row.

Why Bao was picked to fight Taufik again? Lee YB or any other decision makers are too stupid or there must be some other reasons?

Seriously I don't think CH or CJ can stop TH here at Doha. Taufik has obviously improved (or should I say recovered?) much in the past few months.

Seems his win over BCL are getting easier and more convincing.

I think LD, CH and CJ all play a power and speed game. Compared to the other 3, BCL played with less power but more in a deceive way. Facing a talented Taufik who seems to be able to anticipate his opponent's shot easily, BCL deceive shots are not as effective.

yes, bcl basically crash out after one mistake at 8-8 of 2nd set.
I left home when it was 9-14 for TH.

BCL is a lobber at core. Yes, he is smashing more lately but the smash isn't as fast (a chinese saying not 'lak' enough). To win from smashing, bcl has to smash within or less than 6 inches from the sidelines. When he lost confidence, he lost that accuracy. TH was reading all of BCL shots. Of course, after dueling with LD, BCL look slow to TH. BCL has longer limbs but not explosive as LD or CH. In term of explosiveness i would rank these chineses as
LD 10
CH 9
CJ 8.5
BCL 7

This is a surprising result. BCL used to beat TH all the time. I remember TH at that time always lost everytime he met BCL and PG, now it is the other way round. Honestly, I still feel that TH will lose evertime he meet BCL, but...looks like it is reversed now.

You lose some and you win some. I think Bao is a very solid player but not in the same league as Lin Dan, only Taufik are in par with Lin Dan if his stamina hold. Bao, LCW, CJ, Chen Hong, LHI, Peter Gade are one little tap lower than LD and TH, in my opinion. It doesn't mean much as the 100% performance from 2nd tier will beat the 95% of 1st tier. Is really that close.
So sit tight and enjoy the semi between LD vs LHI and TH vs LCW.
As of why Chen Hong is exclude from Asian Games? My guess is coach Li still have doubt on Chen Hong ability in Team event after the lost in Sudirman Cup to LHI few years ago. I don't think Chen Hong was in the Thomas Cup too?

I agree. Chen Hong cannot be relied upon to win an important one-off game. He has proven several times this is the case (Hafiz + LHI). I don't think CH will be too upset at missing out. He would have realised he is not playing Individual as only two players, and unlikely to play team event.

if u don't have great power (great speed, explosion, stamina, and SMASH), u'll less likely win against TH with his godly all round technique (backhand, halfsmash, NET PLAY) and good power.

therefore: 1. Super Dan has the best capability to beat TH.
2. LCW, CJ, CH, PG has fifty2 chances to beat TH.
3. BCL has the least capability to beat TH. In BCL's case, he should maximize the advantage and minimize the disadvantage of his tall posture. Nonetheless, he has to train even harder than other players due to his natural disadvantages.

Bao didn't help himself last night. When he had openings, he either missed his shots or struck wide. And really, he should know better than to play netshots or flat drives against Taufik.

Taufik looks in great shape now, lost all his "fat" in the Thomas Cup.
