I was wondering if anyone had some comparisons of the Armortec-500 and the Black Knight PC-V60/65 rackets. Through a buying club my family is in, I can get the PC-V60/65 for about 110 CDN whereas most stores are selling the Armortec 500 for about 160 CDN. Skill wise I would say I am between an beginner/intermediate player in a social badminton club(doubles only) and have been using an Isometric 75 VF and Carbonex 25 (borrowed). My play style is more about back court drops and net play, but I do love to smash it down when it is prudent. My gut feeling is the PC-V60/65 will probably be more then enough racket for me and will fit my game well. The only concern I have is there isn't much in the way of comparison or reviews on this board, so I have this impression that all Yonex rackets are better then any other brand.

I'd recommend the PC V60, it's more balanced for offense and defense. Either racket will be fine doing netshots and drops. AT500 may have a slight edge for smashing, but you need to be fairly strong to wield. Also, I find the AT500 a bit too flexible, it just feels awkward with the heavy head.

I am glad to hear that. After alot of mulling over I decided to order the PCV60 as there would be no way I could get the AT500 for that much $100 vs $160. I have used a head heavy racket AT300 for a match or two. The head heaviness is something I could adapt to, but I have been using fairly balanced rackets like the Cab 25 and 21. Once I get it I plan to string it with BG 80 at about 24 lbs of tension to start. After that I will try to write up a review because there is dearth of reviews for Black Knight rackets :)
