View Full Version : MP77 and MP100 and Ti-10
Byro-Nenium 09-17-2001, 03:21 AM I'm quite sure people like Iris and Mustafa will have some good comments about this. In my opinion, all the rackets above are excellent rackets. The Ti-10 being my personal favourite. Followed by the MP77 and then the MP100. (And no Iris, i am not buying an MP77! I am broke! :P) Anyway, the MP77 seems to be a better racket than the MP100, has more feel, more power and just feels so much better.
Comments??
Blitz 09-17-2001, 03:43 AM For me,
1. Ti-10
2. MP-77 (Might change as I have not try it out for long)
3. MP-100
modious 09-17-2001, 06:13 AM I've recently got a Ti 10 about 3 weeks ago and I must admit that at first, it really seems like a good racket!
I've been using it primarily for the past 3 weeks.
But when I was playing doubles, I can't seem to play well with it. Recently, I just switched back to the MP 100 and boy does it feels good!! With the MP 100, I play doubles much better.
My doubles partner and I even beat my school team best doubles pair in the 1st set! But we lost the other 2 though it was quite close in the 2nd set!!
The MP77 IMHO is a good racket too though I've never really try it properly yet!
Mustafa also metioned that the control of the racket is not very good. Quite crappy in fact! He kept on missing the lines when playing singles with me.
My conclusion:
SINGLES:
TI 10
MP 100
MP 77
DOUBLES:
MP 100
MP 77
TI 10
hmm... it all boils down to personal preference...(don't you just hate the word)
i mean if the control is so sucky, then why taufik and peter gade still uses it? they are playing singles, which requires more control!!
however, i do agree with mustafa that the control is sucky.... but in terms of power, smash and sound... mp77 is a gem man! but ti10 has more control... i can do dropshots better with it.. but for clears and taking of smashes, mp77 is more manuoevable (spelling??)
IMHO,
MP77&Ti10 - A TIE!!!
MP100
To my opinion, i have played with the Ti-8 and other racquets but mainly with the Ti-8. I think the Ti-10 is a excellent racquet, the MP100 is too light but it has a lot of power. The MP77 I haven't tried.
i have a ti-10 3u and a mp77 2u. i think the mp77 is much easier to play with. i can clear(forehand or backhand) with less effort using the mp77. but, if i'm having a good day, and i feel like going hyper and just smash everything, ti10 is more fun, more powerful on smashes. also, the ti-10 seem to have better control and slightly larger sweetspot. i have never tried mp100, so can't comment on it.
I think Ti 10 is the best singles racket i have ever played with. I have bought an Iso slim 10 form australia for 110Sg.
I want to try it out and see if that is better!
I would put it in This order!
Singles!
Ti 10
Mp 77
Mp 100
Doubles
Mp 100
Mp 77
Ti 10
All 2 u versions only.
for singles, or for doubles?
i have been using a Ti-10 for doubles. i am prefering that to MP100 now. much more power than anything i have used, but also much heavier than anything i have used. my wrist has been much sorer after i've started using this racket.
Byro-Nenium 09-26-2001, 04:59 AM Hmm, for me i use the same racket for singles and doubles. I don't have a preference for rackets in each type of game. I just use the 1 i'm comfortable with. With the exception of my precious Slim-10. I try not to use this for doubles in case of clashes......
Pebulutangkis 10-05-2001, 09:33 AM hmmm...
i just use my MP100 for everything. when i got it i played like crap, but when u get use to it it's a very good racket. i can still generate power and control needed, both singles and doubles no problem.
