hi everyone, i m using my MP100 GR version with Ti-68 @ 21 Lbs for the third time. I am very happy that I have gotten a much better control over my new racket.
After reading many messages regarding to the MP100, I really feel that most people have the similar experience.

first of all, i notice that i was able to smash with better power this time compared to the previous two times that i was using my racket. i notice that i can generate hard smashes even if i m not swinging the racket with 80-100% power. the fact is that i am hitting AIR when i am using 80-100% in the first two plays. i notice that i can smash hard with this racket even when i am using 70-80%.

The Ti-68 string still doesn't have much feel... some previous forum messages suggests that the Ti strings need time to "break-in"... i wonder if this is true... i noticed that my strings tension is different now after tonight's play. i think i am going to switch to non-Ti strings next time.

any MP100 owners have similar experience?

I have an MP-100 GR (which I don't use much, by the way) and it first came with BG-68 Ti. OK sound and power, but poor control, especially on sliced shots. This improved a bit when I re-strung in BG-80.

thanks for your feedback.

what do u use most of the time then? the MP100 is awfully expensive to be sitting around and not using it...

i don't have much problems with control shots though. it's only my smashes that affect me most.

i had a MP100 SP/HK with bg68Ti. i didn't like it. in my review of the string, i found it too slippery for good touch and control. even though it has decent power.

i have since cut the string. but i recently took out my MP77 w/bg68Ti@24lb for a few games. and i instantly noticed that again. all the strings are moving all over the place, i have to rearrange the string almost after every rally. i think i am going to cut that and restring it with bg85.

btw, bg85 is regarded by many as the string of choice. although not the best in terms of durability, the feel/control and power is excellent. i would recommend you give that a try in your search for a better string.

My MP100 CP with 24lbs. cross and 22lbs. main was ok the first two times I played with it. Power and control was ok but not the best. I find the string too hard and slippery. There is no feel to the string as it is very hard. I will string with BG85 soon. BG80 is definately a string with good power and control. Can't go wrong with the BG80. Too bad durability is also an issue. Personally, BG68Ti is a great back up string for the back-up racquet. Holds up the tension for a very long time and durability is very good.
