I was wondering if anyone has any difficulty constantly switching between Isometric head shaped rackets and oval head shaped rackets?
I personally don't find many problems switching between my Cab 21 Special and my Ti-10 or MP100. But when i try to switch between my Ti-10 and my Gosen Roots 2000, i find it to be quite difficult, hard to be consistent. I think its coz of Gosen's very oval head shaped rackets.......
But anyway, my friend in my school team used to use a Cab 20 Power who changed to a Ti-10 says he can't play with his Cab 20 Power anymore. And its true coz when i played him when he was using his Cab 20 Power and he was no where near his full potential... Prehaps some people find it more difficult to switch between different racket head shapes than others.....
Comments?
thanks

the ti10 and the cab 20 is two very different rackets. the cab 20 may not be able to maximize your friend's potential now but it may not be the head shape. it can be the difference in weight and balance. i somehow regret a little that i didn't buy the ti10. however, i m getting more used to my mp100 now. i m the type of player who does not like to change rackets AT ALL. i believe that i should buy a racket and stick with it for the best consistency. after playing with the iso for about 5 years now, i found that it is better for me due to the bigger sweet spot. i discover that the biggest advantage for iso head is my off centre shots.

You should know my 2 rackets.
No prob for me if I interchange between AB 1000 and Ti-10. But I still like the old classic head shape :)

Isn't that often the case for everyone?

i have difficutly switching to isometric from ovals, but after getting "used" to isometric, i can switch back to ovals without a problem. i like ovals most.

Both my ti-10 gave away at the 1 o'clock position after about 1 1/2 months of playtime each..... ermm... i play 8 hours weekly........
i can't keep up with the price of ti-10 so i opt for gosen roots 2000. and i find no problem in switching...

But, should the problem on the flexibility (two kick point) of the shaft rather than the head shape??
I have the Gosen roots 4500, if my hitting time to the shuttlecork is correct, then this hit will be very powerful. But it is very difficult to have the right timing in every hit.........., then losing power and also confident.
This feeling cannot be found in other rackets even if square head shape.

Sorry bit off-topic here.
Just interested. What country codes are your Ti10s? If they are, say, SP, then I'm very surprised at how fragile they are.
Both my friend and I own Ti10s (his regular, mine long). He's had his for about 3 years now, and after dozens of racket clashes and restrings @ 26 lbs it is still in very good condition (erm except all the paint has gone). As for mine (1 month old), I smacked the ceiling with the top of the frame with all my power, making a hole in the ceiling... and it's still fine :D
You've got to be pretty unlucky (or aggressive like me) to have both your rackets broken so soon. Maybe your 2 were out of a bad batch?

not sure about this... both is SP version... bought in malaysia...
both my racquet were different batch.........
both gave away at the same place after miss hits... where the shuttle contacts the frame...............
also.. oval head and iso head....
i think there would be absolutely no problem if u switch from oval to iso...... but there would be some problem if you switch from iso to oval because the sweetspot gets a lot smaller.......
but anyway... shouldn't be a problem is you have consistency in getting the sweetspot...............
