Thats shocking and disappointing... what happened to Sony??:( sony play .. he just need to play it from the qualification round:( maria kristin as well haifeng4ever 01-12-2007, 06:48 AM I didn't know KKK/TBH will going to Korea Open until I saw the draw. That's a great piece of news. ;) ;) ;) PlayaFromMalaya 01-12-2007, 07:00 AM their prolly gonna compete in as many tournaments as they can to improve their rankings.. badMania 01-12-2007, 07:34 AM Fair draw? Kido/Hendra against Luluk/Alvent in R16 for the second competition! Tony/Candra vs Fu/Cai in QF again!    badMania 01-12-2007, 07:37 AM Tough draw yet again for XD pairs. Nova/Butet against AG Gold-medallist Zheng Bo/Gao Ling in QF. Flandy/Vita against WC Champion Nathan Robertson/Gail Emms in R16. Rizal/Greysia against vs Thomas Laybourn/Kamilla Rytter-Juhl also in R16. PlayaFromMalaya 01-12-2007, 07:48 AM and dont forget hafiz vs chen hong again ^^ event 01-12-2007, 08:03 AM No Taufik. He's avoiding Korea as usual.Actually, Lin Dan is the bigger surprise because, for the first time since 2002, he's not avoiding Korea. Since winning in Busan, Taufik has been here twice: in 2004 and 2006. Simon isn't coming either. I hesitate before reading too much into Taufik's absence. haifeng4ever 01-12-2007, 08:21 AM I would say I prefer KO draw than MO. At least malaysian MD will not fight against each other. I still don't get why CCM/HTH are skipping the qualifying round also in KO. But KKK/TBH don't. cao ci dan 01-12-2007, 08:21 AM Fair draw? Kido/Hendra against Luluk/Alvent in R16 for the second competition! Tony/Candra vs Fu/Cai in QF again!     Fu,Cai...no more losing 2games in just 23mins please! Krisna 01-12-2007, 09:43 AM Fair draw? Kido/Hendra against Luluk/Alvent in R16 for the second competition! Tony/Candra vs Fu/Cai in QF again!    Rian-Eng Hian had to play Anthony Clark - Robert Blair in the 1st round... :( There are about 4 Koreans in Maria Kristin's qualification section and almost no other Korean anywhere else in the qualification area... ants 01-12-2007, 10:24 AM No Taufik. He's avoiding Korea as usual. He will be concentrating for All England. He don't like to play in Korea. me-ow 01-13-2007, 05:22 AM it so not fair man even luluk said, "what the need to play overseas if you meet your freind. just play at Cipayung instead" haifeng4ever 01-13-2007, 06:21 AM it so not fair man even luluk said, "what the need to play overseas if you meet your freind. just play at Cipayung instead" Ya, this is so funny.:D :D :D Playing in MO will like playing in KL Open. What's the difference? No, right. Stupid draw. Should rearrange the draw. Ethan 01-14-2007, 07:42 AM Then make sure you beat your opponent, to play with different people loh !! If you decide to lose, then you can't blame anybody for going all the way there to play a "practice match". Wong105 01-14-2007, 06:22 PM I would say I prefer KO draw than MO. At least malaysian MD will not fight against each other. I still don't get why CCM/HTH are skipping the qualifying round also in KO. But KKK/TBH don't. Cos CCM/HTH won the KL Open and not KKK/TBH so in the national ranking CCM/HTH is higher ranked. indra 01-15-2007, 10:54 PM  Fu,Cai...no more losing 2games in just 23mins please! quicker please:D :D whatsoever 01-19-2007, 03:36 AM quicker please:D :D :D :D , No comment! SIGN... jay0327 01-21-2007, 02:39 AM does somebody know why taufik hates korea open ??? i think he tired to play so many matches.. cao ci dan 01-21-2007, 03:52 AM i think he tired to play so many matches.. :p He played only 1 match in MO...and in straight sets! :) He wanna prepare for AE actually! event 01-21-2007, 04:34 AM He played only 1 match in MO...and in straight sets! He wanna prepare for AE actually! It was announced even before the draws were done for Malaysia or Korea that Taufik would play in KL but not Seoul. Hence, we can be sure that the decision has absolutely nothing to do with his showing in Malaysia. As far as I know, he is not on record as having given any reason for skipping the Korea Open. Notes to that effect on this thread seem to be based on personal opinion. While it is true that after the 2002 Asian Games in Busan, Taufik swore never to play in Korea again, he has been here twice since: in 2004 and 2006. Note also that Simon Santoso is skipping the Korea Open as well. 01353 01-21-2007, 07:52 AM He will be concentrating for All England. He don't like to play in Korea. haha ,still has an allergy to kr referees? winnie 01-21-2007, 11:57 AM hey any1 know if kkk/tbh still nid 2 play for qualifying? winnie 01-21-2007, 12:06 PM by the way, rmbr to post up the link to watch the match, k?? thx.. hehe yannie 01-21-2007, 12:26 PM Rian-Eng Hian had to play Anthony Clark - Robert Blair in the 1st round... :( :( Too bad!!!.. Rian/Eng Hian going to Korea today, dunno if the rest of INA team go with them.. I think China is going tomorrow. As far as I know, Taufik will fly back to to Indonesia tomorrow. Note also that Simon Santoso is skipping the Korea Open as well. Simon again? So next time he will hopefully attend All England and Swiss Open. ctjcad 01-21-2007, 08:28 PM It was announced even before the draws were done for Malaysia or Korea that Taufik would play in KL but not Seoul. He's avoiding Korea as usual. damn, how can lin dan give TH a friendly smile when TH isn't there:D darenong 01-22-2007, 04:59 AM damn, how can lin dan give TH a friendly smile when TH isn't there:D he smiled bcos he is not there ? knowing the real contender will be TH so he smirk at TH something like  Dreamzz 01-22-2007, 05:15 AM this is another interesting draw. i reckon LCW will fail again at the QF stage, this time to CJ. which is really bad news for MAS MS. i have for the semis : LD vs PG LHI vs CJ as for MD, another potential QF clash between CY/FHF and TG/CW which unfortunately didn't materialise in the MO. chances are it will happen this time, the only tricky game will be TG/CW vs LP/JR, a very entertaining R1 match indeed. my semis lineup here is : TG/CW vs JJS/LYD KKK/TBH vs JE/ML i must say, i do enjoy this super series format! Jessica 01-22-2007, 08:11 AM Hope what you predict is true for the Mens double but not single because i do hope LCW on action in the semis coz i miss the match between him and LD since last year. Han 01-22-2007, 02:35 PM Don't worry, LCW will beat Chen Jin, Chen Jin is still very one dimensional in attacking, LCW will be in the semi. Hope what you predict is true for the Mens double but not single because i do hope LCW on action in the semis coz i miss the match between him and LD since last year. sickgal 01-22-2007, 03:10 PM He will be concentrating for All England. He don't like to play in Korea. ants...if that's true..so whats the reason that he dislike to play in Korea?? :p ctjcad 01-22-2007, 07:41 PM my semis lineup here is : TG/CW vs JJS/LYD KKK/TBH vs JE/ML ..and ignore last yr's Korean Open's runner-ups, Hwang JiMan & Lee JaeJin, who lost to the defending champions, Tony G. & Candra W...The KOR pair is also in the same half w/KKK & TBH..;) IMO, the success and progress of JJS & LYD lies on how fast LYD's ankle heals, which he sprained during the just ended MO..:p Krisna 01-22-2007, 11:17 PM does somebody know why taufik hates korea open ??? My guess is the horrendous reputation of the Korean line judges. They have offended Taufik before, a couple years back [forgot when]. Korean line judges are very notorious [at least among Indonesian players that I know]. I know for a fact that even when club players were playing [at the local level] and a line-call was called inappropriately, then there will be comments like "Hey, that was so clearly in!...not out! Are you Korean or something?" Then the coach will say, "Just take the ruling! In Korea, you will experience terrible calls. Consider this 'conditioning'..." The only line judges of any country that were so unfair that could make the Chinese legend, Yang Yang, cry on the court. Yang Yang was never treated that unfairly all his life... so blatantly unfair. The Indonesian players do not complain about Chinese, Japanese, Danish line judges... Just Koreans. A bit to 'patriotic' to the point that it spoils the game for the foreigners. pramilainc 01-23-2007, 02:19 AM I dun think Korean line judges are worse than that of any other country, just that for some reason Taufik has a habit of blowing it out of proportion.... Amazona 01-23-2007, 04:30 AM Peter Gade Walk Over Anyone who knows why? pjswift 01-23-2007, 06:22 AM Don't worry, LCW will beat Chen Jin, Chen Jin is still very one dimensional in attacking, LCW will be in the semi. You sure? LCW looked incredibly slow to me in the match vs BCL, like he's still carrying his injury. If that's the case, he might even crash out to Boonsak. LCW's key weapon is his speed and when that is just marginally less, his play gets affected dramatically. I thought he was even struggling to win against both Bjorn and Wacha, considered non-opponents! I hope I'm wrong but if I'm right, MAS better let their star player's injury heal properly and have a complete rest. donpedro 01-23-2007, 07:34 AM Peter Gade Walk Over Anyone who knows why?
