....and guess what...he rejoins Djarum. Frans Kurniawan also drops out from Pelatnas...perhaps after seeing Rian Sukmawan flourishing with Eng Hian. Djarum is going to pair Sigit with Frans.....

Sigit is a legend! :)
Though it is largely his fault that I have no forehand defence against smashes, I just spend all my time trying to copy his amazing backhand defence on the forehand side. :D
I hope he does really well, he is a real character and the badminton scene has missed him.

You know Hendri from Singapore sent me regards yesterday. In Denmark Open, I was introduced to him, but he was so so so MALU. Faint.

LOL Ko Sori Sori.. HAHAHAHAHA..
Sigit.. Let us (Tarek, Mei Ying, me etc) meet him first, then only we know what nickname to give him :D..
Oh I see, the older generation of Indo players can speak English quite well.

Hwahahahahhahahhaha!!! I believe you should give him... Mas Halus... Which means soft... Hahahahaa, since he talks very soft, unlike when he's in the court!!! :D :D
Well, that's not really true... I'm sure once they go international often, they will eventually learn and imrpove their english language... Ko Candra and Mas Sigit hv went all over the world to play, and it has been quite a long time, I'm sure that has improved their english.. And those younger plyrs, i'm sure they can speak well too, since the schools nowadays teach english too.. aNd they are like, what, 20-25 yrs old only..:D So, I'm sure their english are actually standard, maybe not those large bunky words, yan, those easy words they can understand, I'm sure!! And, moreover, they may be scared and mentally unprepared to speak english, that's why they seemed not so good... :p Hahahahhaha... Blank out!!!!:D :D

Sigit and Fran will play in the German Open and All England [qualifiers]... They are quite awesome... some PB Djarum observers think that they are better than Eng Hian - Rian Sukmawan [current world number 8 MD from Djarum].
In reality, it is said that Sigit-Fran, Eng Hian-Rian, and Tony-Chandra [who sometimes practice at PB Djarum], would beat each other... They are in the same league. Tony Gunawan [a honorable and humble fellow] often noted that Sigit and Eng Hian of PB Djarum are more talented than him... :) They are both technically more complete and can display more variety during gameplay...
Sigit is busy practicing everyday 2 times a day now... Those who recently saw him practice think that he still "floats like a butterfly, sting like a bee!" :) [maybe he is an older butterfly, so couldn't float as high as before, but he surely can still sting...:p ] He should realize that he only has a few more good years left better make the best of it...

Hi Kimpe_bultang,
I am just a big BIG fan of Indonesian badminton for around 25 years now... :) No I don't work for PBSI. Because I know enough about Indonesian Badminton, thus I know that working for PBSI is something that I should NOT do at this time.
I think that some in the current leadership does not know enough about what is really good for Indonesian badminton. This is because some of them have little knowledge about the badminton-world... yet have not immersed themselves in the current reality. Too busy with other non-badminton political ambitions...
I happen to follow the developments of the National Circuit tournaments [the scene where future stars are tested and 'naturally selected'] and I know some people from the 5 strong clubs: PB Jaya Raya, PB Tangkas, PB Djarum, PB Suryanaga and PB SGS Elektrik... even PB Ratih Banten and PB Mutiara Bandung... so I am quite aware of what is going on in the club scene domestically...
The domestic clubs are the real powerhouse behind Indonesia's international success... Just like England's soccer team is supported by big-guns of Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool, Everton, etc...

Ooooh.. Woow, that's cool!! So, do you know my coach.. Ko Henry Saputra?? Hahaha, frm Tangkas.. Ko Suryadi?? Hmm, now in s'pore.. Haha, do you hv MSN or YM?? It is easier to chat there, isn't it?? And, thx for the info..

Btw, if you want to know more about Sigit and Chandra, ask Badmania.
He is the real professor of badminton data... The guy knows everything that happened in the past and present. If only he can predict the future too... He he he...
Let's test Badmania's forecasting ability...
Badmania, how far will Sigit-Fran go in the up and coming German Open and All England?
My own prediction [without knowing the draw yet]:
Quarterfinals at the German Open
Round of 32 at the All England
The draw will be done very soon. Around this week. We shall see again then.

Do you hv any MSN or YM, krisna?? Hmm, I think they can come up to at least the round of 16 for both.. They are good, and they hv trained very hard, for quite a time too... ^^

Yes, I know koh Henry Saputra, the coach from Tangkas. Cool guy. Very sharp in evaluating badminton performance. I respect him.
No I don't have MSN or YM... I prefer to post at Badminton Central at my own convenience. Oftentimes I have no set time... Work demands. You know laah... Badminton is a hobby, not my main job.
Hey, what's your prediction for Sigit-Fran?

Oops, just saw your prediction. Ok. Let's see whether we need to revise our own prediction after the draw is released...

Before knowing the draw, I predicted Quarterfinals of the German Open will be their maximum accomplishment [for their very first tournament together]. ....Yet, tonight Sigit-Fran will play in the semifinals... against the top seeded Koreans [Lee Yong Dae and partner]. This new Indonesian [PB Djarum] pair have exceeded my initial expectations... :D

But in my opinion : it's already a good result, to be in semifinal.
(I predicted they would reach final).
Surely they have a good prospect, if they can continually play in tournaments.
