Do you happen to know the tournament this photo comes from? Gil won silver at the first 2 Korea Opens playing with a woman named Shim Eun-jung. I'm trying to track down a photo.

This is very hard to see but one thing that is clear is that Shim Eun-jung is a whole head taller than Jang Hye-ock, who is just a tiny bit shorter than Gil Young-ah. That is consistent with the height of the player in your photo. I'd say that is Shim Eun-jung. Gil Young-ah's other partners where Chung So-young and Jang Hye-ock and it is neither of them so I'm pretty sure that is Shim.

Where is your photo from? It doesn't look to be a final. I think all of Shim's tournament wins were with Jang Hye-ock, not Gil Young-ah.

Prior to the success of Shon and Lee Hyun-il, Sung was one of Korea's more successful men's singles stars. He reached the semi-finals of the All England. He now coaches the national team and the Daegyo Noonnopi professional team(home of Ra Kyung-min, Ha Jung-eun, Hwang Yu-mi, Lee Yun-hwa, and Jun Jae-youn) and is married to Kim Yeon-ja.
