Bao should be given more respect, he has matured a bit since last World Championships. Beating LCW after 8 straight losses is no mean feat, remember WCH never ever got to beat Xia Xuanze. And we don't question WCH's mental strength, esp with that 72 minute marathon against Chen Jin.

For WMC, KKK/TBH and Marissa/Polii, tomorrow is another lesson to be learnt. Just hope that they could give their opponents a run for the money.

Finally, Emms/Robertson don't seem to be in top form in this tournament.

you do realise that in order to smash you must first get a lift?
MD's at this levels don't take turns smashing until one gets a winner...just like peopel say LD beat TH because he was in a "smashing frenzy"..rather: taufik was in a lift-frenzy...

Zhu Lin was dominant against Yao Jie, so it wasn't a very interesting match. But Zhu Lin looks sharp and fast. Wong Mew Choo's match against Eriko can be considered the best match of the day. Both games were tight, and both players played very interesting rallies. In the end, Wong just had that little bit extra. I also believe the will of the crowd got her a few points.
Predicted title winner: Zhu Lin (she looks like the next Zhang Ning). I hope that once again, I am proven wrong.

Lee Yong Dae hobbled around on a bad ankle, so Tony/Chandra got a rest day today. KKK/TBH played a very fast game against Kido/Setiawan. The match was mostly drives, counter-drives, nets and counter-nets. The majority of the match was played at the front of the court. I think the Indons got dragged into playing the game that the Malaysians want. The normally steady Hendra Gunawan showed brief glimpses of brilliance but his game was riddled with unforced and slightly-forced errors, especially in the second game.
Predicted title winner: Tony Gunawan/Chandra Wijaya (I believe they will succeed in slowing down the game and frustrating the Malaysians)

Ah, after the exit of the first ko, the other two ko's followed suit. The Indons thoroughly deserved the win. They played a very good attacking game, while the Japanese looked a little bit jaded. Gao/Huang was slightly troubled by the Koreans in the first game; the Koreans defended well and was like a dam holding back the water, but in the second game, the dam broke and the torrent of water was released.
Predicted title winner: Gao Ling/Huang Sui (just too strong)

Gao/Zheng looks the top XD pair in the world right now, having no trouble dispatching of Widianto/Natsir. Both players combined very well and I feel they are better than Gao/Zhang Jun partnership. Emms is great as usual and Robertson is temperamental as usual. I expect a good final.

You do know that Cai/Fu don't have the best defense in the world, and their main weapon is their speed and power(from Fu).

With less unforced errors and smash more??? Any doubles team will likely win in that situation.. to say that is just stating common sense. To make that happen, you have to force your opponent to lift to you, and put pressure on them.

TBH's smashes "sharp at 45 degree down"... he must be right in front of the net to do that, or else from the back-court, it is going underneath the net...:confused:

Actually i like both peter gade and bao.. I'm their fans. But i prefer bao to win MO.. Then prove to everyone that he isn't Mr. Runner up anymore.. :D

Although I highly favor GADE over BAO but I think we should give some respect to BAO as he's no push-over.

Even if it is Peter GADE vs Bobby MILROY, it is not 100% sure that GADE will win because there is always a small percentage of uncertainties (eg. injuries).

..i would say that small hiccup, made by the umpire, when the score was 7-7 probably broke BCL's concentration..After that moment, he seemed to lose focus and made series of errors, which allowed Gade to race ahead..:p
Looks like Gade is gonna be the MO champ; everything seemed to be destined for him, after the early exits of TH, LD and LCW..:)..

agree with you there. BCL didn't look too happy and just lost it. though we can't take anything away from PG as he did play a good game - very quick
