NEW ROLE: Singles shuttler Wong Choong Hann took up a new role yesterday as the on-court presenter with the task to interview all the Malaysian Open winners.
“It was a new experience to interview fellow badminton players and ask them about their achievements. Some did not answer the question I asked and some gave short answers,” he said.
“But it was fun. Now, I know how you media people work. “But no, no thanks, I will not make it a full-time job.”

haha he was funny thats all i noe.... his mandarin not so good... guess he speaks mostly cantonese...
with a little bit of polishing, I think Choon Hann can be a good commentator, the key is he has to like what he's doing else he can never be good.

it's good to know he is attempting this new role, he has six years of chinese primary schooling, he has a jovial character and respected by his peers both seniors and juniors, pretty long playing career, liken him to Serbegeth Singh in soccer
He was not attempting a new role.. just that someone kinda push him to do it. Hehehhe.. at the moment he still wants to play. Not commenting or doing some emceeing. But he feel kinda nervous. His respond to me when i said, "some people say u look nervous"... WCH says "what you expect, i play badminton only, but since i always got interviewed so i just go with the flow".

Whn i was there, i saw him walking around, looking quite nervous actually.
Although I cant hear the players clearly during the interview, it's a good try for Choong Hann. Hey, what do u expect? He's just a badminton player. How many times u see a badminton player interview others???? Haha...... bravo for Choong Hann.

Everyone will get nervous for the first time. I think, he is not very good in english, so it drops his confidence a bit. Lucky that PG was able to understand what he asked during the interview:D .
I remember at one time in WBC last yr, LCW prefered to speak chinese when he was interviewed with one translator aside. And my confusion is why he did not choose malay language?
