Greetings,

We have now closed off the $30 Banquet...... but you are still welcomed to attend, but you will have to order your individual dishes at the restaurant.

At the moment, there are more females than males coming :confused::confused:

What's happening to the boys/men@CCC ???

Some girls might want boys/men for dancing partners, even though, some might be happy to be dancing among themselves.

Come people now, everybody get together to dine & dance.:cool::cool:

i'm in the wrong country :( Hi cooler,

But you are most welcomed to come over... for our Badminton, Dancing, Dinner, Singing, Supper, Wining, etc...... :):):)

We have received players from all over the world, eg Cambodia, China, England, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Phillipines, Russia, Scotland, Singapore, Spain, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, (my apologies... if I have missed out any countries which I should have listed).

In fact, our regular BC member, Cheung from Hong Kong, will be visiting us sometime in the next few months.

We hope to meet you one day.

And we can then claim Canada as well.:cool::cool:

To Chris:

belinda, francesca and Eva are all coming to CNY 10/2 this weekend.

When should I tell them to arrive at the restaurant?

Hi hkhung,

Tell the girls that Karen-C will be coming along too. :)

Try to be there by 7:30pm, because I have instructed the restaurant to bring out our first dish of the Banquet at 8:00pm.

But for people ordering their own dishes there...... come at any time, even after 10:00pm.:cool:
We are expected to carry on there until midnight.

And the restaurant said it is ok for our members@CCC to come even without having dinner there, so that they can come later to join in the dance and the karaoke.

So, here is an opportunity for us to really have A Great Chinese New Year Celebration. :)

Cheers... chris@ccc

And boys who eventually could not attend= Tim-D, Tony-P, Kevin-C, Stanley-Y, Ketut-S, Siva-S, Andrew-N, etc...

Others did not reply. I suppose noreply = not coming.

Players from Badminton clubs were from;

Altona Saturday Social

Box Hill Sunday Social

CCC Badminton

Doncaster-Templestowe Badminton

JT Ultra Badminton

MSAC Social

Telstar Badminton

Wesley Badminton

The banquet table was fantastic.... the Malaysian “Lou Sang Dish“ was delicious and fun, as everyone playfully tossed the dish about with great pleasure and enjoyment. We had good food and had more than what we could eat, so we sent some dishes over to the a la carte table.

Happy Palace was a good host. Consumed 6 bottles of wine. Dancing was few(too shy), but karaoke was fun(about 36 songs).

And kong-19, who missed out but thinking of us, rang us from Brisbane.:cool::cool:

Finished around midnight. Then continued on to SOFITEL MELBOURNE for coffee.

AND WE ENJOYED THE SPECIAL CELEBRATION !!! :):):)

Greetings,

Some 8 hours later, hkhung was kind enough to make another report, but posted it as Post#213 in our Friday Social thread= http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?p=512654#post512654

So...... I thought will cut and paste it here, in this thread;

To all people who miss CNY dinner last nite:

In the "grand tradition" of supper reports, i thought i make this one up for people who weren't there.

Time: 10/2 7:30pm
Location: Happy Palace at Bourke St

Attendance:

Table A: Belinda, Francesca, Eva, Ken, Helmut, the guy who chris chase up to drive home at sofitel (read later), Jackey Chen and his friend, Phil
Table B: Brian, Chris, Jack, Josie, Vivian, Michelle (who kindly said she don't remmeber me from wednesday nite CCC) and apology to the rest of the people who don't remmeber your name(s) besides the fact that someone sang the song yesterday (great singing though, but what's your name again?)

In the "grand tradition" of supper reports, i thought i make this one up for people who weren't there.

- JackeyChen query hkhung about the availability of joining DTBA monday nite competition
- when the waiter said last order of dishes, hkhung was worried that the place is gonna be closed so he cannot sing no more
- before dinner, Chris was trying to get people to do karaoke. Obviously nobody want to do that on an empty stomach
- At dinner, Chris was trying to get people to dance with fast songs (hopefully some photos for people dancing to be posted by Helmut)
- At dinner, hkhung found out that we only order 2 dishes for 8 people
- At Sofitel drinks after the main dinner, after introducing many people the whole night, Chris accidentally called Phil David (which was the name of the waiter who was serving us). Thank god he didn't called the waiter Phil
- At Sofitel Chris chase up this guy who already left so this guy could stay behind for Chris to drive him back later
- Chris and me were amused that this guy (from the following sentence) came with his badminton gear and shoes for the dinner after playing at Altona

Unfortunately i was only on one table for the whole nite, so the only interactions with the poeple on other table were the time when they send the food over when they could not eat no more (yay!).

Hopefully i would post some photos later.

BTW, the name of the guy that chris@ccc drove home is Khoa, and he came to our CCC CNY Celebration straight after playing @Altona Saturday Social Badminton. He also plays at Wesley Badminton on Monday night.

And Phil actually plays @Monash Uni and @Springers with a Cambodian Group of Badminton players.

hkhung also forgot to mention that, from JT Ultra Badminton, we were pleased to have with us Jacky Chen's wife, Tracy.
And how could hkhung forget to mention our CCC's Karen-C at his table? :):):)

At the Banquet Table, hkhung forgot to mention Tony(Josie's husband) and from Wesley Badminton, Thusi, John-W and Anne-W. And, hkhung spelled our CCC player wrong, her name is Vivien.

She told me...... Vivian is for man, Vivien is for woman. :):):)

I am hoping that Belinda and Helmut will post the photos that they took.

Finally, I replied to hkhung that he should post his photos in this thread, not in our Friday Social thread.

Cheers... chris@ccc
