You get what you pay for... I think (unless you buy rackets off ebay then you get less for what you pay for)

1. decide on your budget
2. know what type of player you are
3. what level do you intend to reach
by saying "best" i would understand it to mean that it is the racket within your budget that suits your style of play. there are lots lf rackets below 100USD that can deliver.
by the way, go for the shoes first. cheers.

i think i shall quote this way.. Get the same racket with less $$
1. decide on your budget
** No idea how much $ can get what kind of racket… so no budget but not so expensive.
2. know what type of player you are
** long time no play… guess I m high beginner or low intermediate player.
3. what level do you intend to reach
** No aim but trying to play as whatever I can cope and with much of leisure stuff in
4. by the way, go for the shoes first.
** I can’t get the right size of shoes that I want…
5. i m currently using Yonex Carbonex 15, which has been with me for 15 years…thinking to get something lighter and better than that…

that's cool :)
okay...shoes first. yonex, hi-tec, sotx, adidas and mizuno must be able to cover your type of feet :) getting the right shoes and good footwork will help prevent unwanted foot injuries.
for a beginner to intermediate player, there are rackets below USD100 that are good. a lot of my friends here use the MP series. MP21-66 and at150,250,300 fall within this price range. You can try the MP 27, 29, 30, 45.
then there are rackets from rsl (eg 4190,6190), sotx, victor (artery tec 88,99, jc series), chao pai, ashaway and carlton that are okay. get a medium flex racket and string it with bg-85, 68ti (66-68mm) or any reputable string (ashaway, rsl, gosen) anywhere between 20-24lbs to start you off. then from there, you decide if you want a thicker string, higher or lower tension, or a somewhat stiff racket. A med-flex racket at 25-26lbs works for me.
try getting a 3U racket. grip depends on the size of your hand. i am 5'5" and i use a G4 or G5 then add a thin overgrip for tackiness.
there, that's how i would tackle your inquiry if i were in your shoes. cheers. :)

Cheapest court shoes you can find are probbaly going to be HiTec Squash/Badminton shoes, there light and gripy, best to buy a size larger than normal shoes (if buying online) as they tend to be a bit smaller than most, US$25 or less.
Racquet wise your Carbonex 15 is probably adequate for now, get back into the game before deciding you need a new racquet.
