I've made a few purchase from Shuttle House before. I didn't have to pay any customs fees.

does that mean that they mark the package as low value and as gift?

Nope, no need.

I had stuff shipped to USA from Japan for various products I purchased online from several different japanese shops..

The packages were marked is what the packages had, no customs fees etc...

Wait so do they take Credit card? Was the ordering process hassle free? Do they provide free stringing?

They take credit card. No hassle fee (I think that is what you mean). They charge for stringing.

If you're using a credit card then the store pays a fee but that's usually included in the cost of the item, not charged separately. Keep in mind though that credit card companies don't use the day exchange rate, they are usually 2% conservative to ensure they don't lose money in exchanging currencies.

Nope, no tax if ordering outside of Japan.

I just placed an order on Thursday night (US time) and I got my shipping on Monday afternoon. And I don't think I paid any tax.
