A match consists of the best of 3 games of 21 points.
The side winning a rally adds a point to its score.
At 20 all, the side which gains a 2 point lead first, wins that game.
At 29 all, the side scoring the 30th point, wins that game.
The side winning a game serves first in the next game.Intervals and Change of Ends

When the leading score reaches 11 points, players have a 60 second interval.
A 2 minute interval between each game is allowed.
In the third game, players change ends when a side scores 11 points.
Doubles

There is only one serve in doubles.
At the beginning of the game and when the score is even, the server serves from the right court. When it is odd, the server serves from the left court.
If the serving side wins a rally, the serving side scores a point and the same server serves again from the alternate service court.
If the receiving side wins a rally, the receiving side scores a point. The receiving side becomes the new serving side.
The player of the receiving side who served last stays in the same service court from where he served last. The reverse pattern applies to the receiver’s partner
The players do not change their respective service courts until they win a point when their side is serving.
If players commit an error in the service court, the error is corrected when the mistake is discovered.
* Ex-National players & Ex-State player are not allowed to compete.
*This tournament is due to changes if there are limited numbers of participant

Weather the Quarter Final, Semis or Final will be within the same day will be decided when we receive all the applications. If too many people join.. the tournament might be stretched into 2 or 3 weekends. It depends on how many people join.

Joanne, given your age, you already considered reach certain level of standard. In mix double, the male partner needs to cover the female player. I think you will cover your male partner instead. haha. weaker guys shy be your partner la. for me, i'm definitely shy cos you are good!

How on earth would you know my standard? Compared to you guys, I'm.. :o

Hahaha actually some guy wants to partner me for mix.. if I do it'll be the first time I'm actually the same standard as my XD partner.. my last XD partner was like 10 times better than me, now has gone on to become a state player. But if I join it it'll be solely for fun.. don't expect to win anything.. but with this partner I don't have to feel so useless, just standing in front all the time.. ;)

Over all i must say Loosai have all the credit for bring this event so successful. He did all the paperwork, organize, timetable, bring in sponsor like Phiten!, bring all the people together to this event and many more. He even sacrifice to join in this tournament because he know that if he play in event and the event may not goes well. I really salute to this man!

In this tournament, i can see many players play their best even i think when they lost no matter in first round or second round they should feel happy. Like myself, hehe i lost in first round i also feel happy with my partner performance and myself. Because i know we both play our very best!

During this tournament, many people ask me what is KLBC? now more people know who is KLBC. Of course KLBC stand for Kuala Lumpur, Badminton Central. Is just a fun club for badminton fans! a place for us to meet other badminton player!

For the winner i wish them Congratulations and those who join in "You are still the best!". If in this tournament where we did mistake or wrong, please accept our apologies. For them who miss this year KLBC open, we hope to see you again in KLBC Open 2008.
