Bintaro is far from my place, never play there. Pola Bugar, if I am not wrong, is near Puri Kembangan. That's not that far, still in West Jakarta.

Are you sure want to play at Pola bugar? from bintaro it will take 45minutes to drive.

If u r free on Sunday morning, u can join us at Ancol, from 8.30am but most came from 10am. There is a coach, ex-Djarum, who gives private coaching to a Taiwan teenager.

My niece last time also took the private coaching but now no longer so sometimes the coach is not around if the Taiwan student is not coming.

If u r just playing, it's free. But the coaching fee, need to ask him.

Other days, I am playing at night time because working on day time.

You can always join to play, let me know which days u want to join, I can pick you up. Just pm me if interested.

I won't be going to Jakarta until December the 3rd but when I get there I'll probably play a lot maybe even everyday. If you're still doing the Sunday morning group in December then I will go. Does the Jakarta Express bus go all the way to Ancol? I know it starts at Blok M which is a short walk from where I'll be staying but I don't know where it stops the other end. What is the Senayan Hall like? Do they have a social hit each night and do they have coaching. If someone had the addresses to different clubs in Jakarta I could make a map for people because I have a good aerial map of the city that way we would all not get lost down some Jalan Tikus, lol.

Transjakarta bus (Busway) now goes from Blok M to Ancol but u have to change I think. Different corridor.

But, if u want to go, I can pick u up at Beos(Stasiun Kota) or somewhere else.

There are many badminton courts in west Jakarta, not to mention other parts of Jakarta.

December I think I should still be playing at Ancol. It has been going for more than 4 years I guess.

Sounds like you really like the Ancol Club! When I get to Jakarta I'll get an Indonesian Simcard for my mobile so we can find each other. I arranged my holidays the other day so I will be coming. The problem with Jakarta is most people don't know where things are. I once asked a person in Glodok where the nearest McDonalds was and he sent me all around the place, I eventually found it myself. Even if Indonesians don't know the direction to something they'll give you directions anyway, lol.

What other Badminton clubs are there in the Jakarta Selatan area. I think I'll meet up with you weekends and then go somewhere nearby during the week. If you know of any clubs in Jakarta Selatan that would be great.

tim mate... drop me a line when ur here... +62 815 1161 9789. and yes ur right with the direction... i guess u just have to pick the right guide lol and why the heck would u look for crapdonald... theres millions of places around that has good food =D... wont blame u tho i did my own sin cravin for kfc but sure... that.. i can vouch indo's kfc much better than nz's =)

anyway theres quite a few place u could go to in selatan. some of them pretty small tho... i recently been going to one place called tanah 100. pretty decent height, air flow, lighting and all. 6 courts in line but place can be pretty hard to find if ur not used to the area... and its not a big hall so yeah.

senayan always a good choice and i know several coaches there that can help us with the courts if they are full. if ur staying at kebayoran baru would be pretty easy to go there.

and if u do stay in kebayoran... its pretty accessable to many main places even to those in jakarta barat... but i really do suggest u plan ur sched as weekday can be pretty busy on the streets

I played in Jl Industri (near Sheraton hotel) last time. Yeah. the place is not good, water come out from the ground during heavy rain. Later when they raise the price, we stopped playing and they now close on Sundays.

Ancol court has 9 courts, near Nelayan restaurant, Jl Lodan. Do u know ? On Friday and Saturday nights, they opened until early in the morning(2-3 am)

If not, then I will pick u up somewhere. I don't mind playing at Senayan, not that far but Kebayoran area, I seldom drive there. I can try to find where the places are.

Citra2 badminton court is at gedung pertemuan. There are 2 different buildings, one at Citra 2, the other at Citra 2 extension. :-)

Citra 2 is not that good, no carpet. Only has 2 courts. Citra 2 extension only has 1 court.

We no longer play at Citra 2 or Citra 2 extension. Only Sunday nights at Citra 1, near swimming pool.
