Good that the Swiss has the decency to split the qualifying rounds to two days.
Not that many interesting matches on this day, though.
Wong Choon Hann vs Tommy Sugiarto is the one to watch.
angelatby 03-11-2007, 11:13 PM Hopefully Malaysian MS & WS will be able to buck up their will-power & winning spirit. Really hope to see them to pass through Quarter-Final :crying: :crying:
IndoAmerican 03-12-2007, 12:09 AM Does anyone know if there is any live tv/internet coverage (i.e. RTM Streaming) for qualifiying round?
JaCk™ 03-12-2007, 12:28 AM RTM definitely WILL NOT have line streaming for the qualifying round.. sad to say so.. but the truth is, most people will not be interested in the qualifying round.. unless the draw is like TH vs LD in the first round of MO2007.
ixory 03-12-2007, 12:29 AM Does anyone knows wat is time different between MAS and Swiss???

JaCk™ 03-12-2007, 07:17 AM Hope KKK/TBH can win a double this time.. AE and Swiss Open back to back title.. but it looks tough as KKK says he is tired..
alfa-2 03-12-2007, 07:34 AM hope that they can be consistent unlike other MAS player before. set a good example for others to follow.
Dreamzz 03-12-2007, 08:35 AM i'm quite surprised not to see Gao Ling and Zheng Bo in the Swiss Open ... thought after their recent successes they would go and try and win all the tournaments in the SS.
Inky2000 03-12-2007, 08:35 AM KKK/TBH is expected to meet FHF/CY at the QF. I wonder if LYB will be able to figure out good strategies to counter KKK/TBH's solid play by coming Friday which will help FHF/CY to take revenge. If they could make it, it's going to be the first time that KKK/TBH fails to enter the SF ... which is not necessarily a bad thing because the youngsters need to take a break mentally. However, considering that KKK/TBH need more ranking points at this crucial stage, I hope that they will triumph. KKK/TBH might break into top-10 if they win the Swiss Open title while FHF/CY will remain as No.1 even if they are defeated in QF.
Dreamzz 03-12-2007, 08:38 AM also, what a tough first half for MD, with the likes of:
CY/FHF
KKK/TBH
JJS/LYD
TG/CW
LP/JR
i'm betting on the winner of the tournament coming from the top half of the draw, unless they wear each other out before reaching the finals.
what, no markis/hendra??
sickgal 03-12-2007, 08:41 AM thanks for the links..its gonna begin at nite time..good for me..haha..after a day in uni..
badMania 03-12-2007, 08:48 AM what, no markis/hendra??
There are no Kido/Hendra and Luluk/Alvent in the Swiss Open as Kido, Luluk and Alvent were being penalized by PBSI for taking part in the exhibition tournament in Papua.
Inky2000 03-12-2007, 08:48 AM also, what a tough first half for MD, with the likes of:
CY/FHF
KKK/TBH

LP/JR
i'm betting on the winner of the tournament coming from the top half of the draw, unless they wear each other out before reaching the finals.
what, no markis/hendra??
We can write off LP/JR but the other four pairs could well be the four most consistent MD pairs to perform well from now till the end of the year. On the other hand, I think JE/MLH, CTF/LWW and Markis/Kido are in downhill.
JaCk™ 03-12-2007, 09:02 AM KKK/TBH might not win this time as KKK is tired.. remember, one cannot wnin everytime.. anyway, all the best to them..
Dreamzz 03-12-2007, 09:04 AM There are no Kido/Hendra and Luluk/Alvent in the Swiss Open as Kido, Luluk and Alvent were being penalized by PBSI for taking part in the exhibition tournament in Papua.
oh yeah, i forgot about that scandal ... hehe ...
how about gao ling and zheng bo?
Dreamzz 03-12-2007, 09:06 AM We can write off LP/JR but the other four pairs could well be the four most consistent MD pairs to perform well from now till the end of the year. On the other hand, I think JE/MLH, CTF/LWW and Markis/Kido are in downhill.
true, our very own JR has not seen the best of times lately, but their experience can prove tricky espcially if any of the top pairs has an off-day.
Dreamzz 03-12-2007, 09:08 AM KKK/TBH might not win this time as KKK is tired.. remember, one cannot wnin everytime.. anyway, all the best to them..
not only that, but so far their route to victories at the MO and AE have been relatively smoother, at the Swiss Open, it looks like they'll have to overcome CY/FHF in the QF, TG/CW or JJS/LYD in the SF and then i would say either JE/MLH or LJJ/HJM in the F. like i said, i'd much rather be in the bottom half!
besides, everybody's tired!
Inky2000 03-12-2007, 09:11 AM true, our very own JR has not seen the best of times lately, but their experience can prove tricky espcially if any of the top pairs has an off-day.
They could be spoilers but I doubt they are going to be the winners.
JaCk™ 03-12-2007, 09:29 AM Too bad, Markis-Hendra being banned from Swiss Open by PBSI.. if not, they have a good chance of winning.. cause they lost early in AE and had enough rest for Swiss Open..
Dreamzz 03-12-2007, 10:34 AM Too bad, Markis-Hendra being banned from Swiss Open by PBSI.. if not, they have a good chance of winning.. cause they lost early in AE and had enough rest for Swiss Open..
well, their performance has been going downhill since the start of the super series though:
MO - semis
KO - quarters
AE - round 2
and if we follow that trajectory, that would mean that if they competed in the swiss open, would they have lost in round 1??
cheeyf 03-12-2007, 11:39 AM hey anyone watching live score?
is it working?
supposed to start already rite?
thanks
IndoAmerican 03-12-2007, 12:11 PM hey anyone watching live score?

hehe
cheeyf 03-12-2007, 12:22 PM is my live score stuck or it not yet start

No, it's not your LiveScore, I think it will start in about 15 minutes...
bananaboy 03-12-2007, 12:49 PM well, their performance has been going downhill since the start of the super series though:
MO - semis
KO - quarters
AE - round 2
and if we follow that trajectory, that would mean that if they competed in the swiss open, would they have lost in round 1??
But like the old saying, once you hit "rock bottom", the only way you can go is "UP"... beware of them as they are still a very decent team in my opinion. Although we won't see them in the Swiss open.
cheeyf 03-12-2007, 12:49 PM thanks a lot indoamerican
hmmm only 2 of us posting now
i guess most BC from mas are sleeping
haha
anyway hope wch enter main draw
hehe
who you are supporting?

hmmm only 2 of us posting now

who you are supporting?
I'm supporting US all INA players. Although there aren't as many INA players in this tournament as AE due to PBSI sanctioned against some players. And Taufik somehow widthdrew from the tournament. Tony is the only one from US this time.
An of course TG/CW. if they get enough rest from AE and able to win the Korean pair in QF, they might play the winner KKK/TBH vs HFF/FC in SF. It seems the button second half of the draw will be pretty easy.
cheeyf 03-12-2007, 01:07 PM yea wish them all the best.
hehe
i like them also but of course if they meet kkk/tbh i will support mas
hehe
bananaboy 03-12-2007, 01:12 PM I honestly hope WCH can make it to the main draw... this guy needs to prove himself once again that he deserves a spot in the top group + he needs ranking points for World championship!!! He may not win, but he needs to be there especially since WC 07 is held in Malaysia.
I am no big fan of any Malaysia player, but WCH is a different story(he may not be the best, but he is a fighter!!!)... TBH is good, too.:p
IndoAmerican 03-12-2007, 01:13 PM yea wish them all the best.
hehe
i like them also but of course if they meet kkk/tbh i will support mas
hehe
Naturally, you as Malaysian. Of course kkk/tbh is my second favorite pair after tg/cw. I saw their games with HFF/YC at AE final and was amazed by their play.
If kkk/tbh and tc/cw meet in QF, it will be an interesting match. Depending on the condition of both players, it will be 50/50, I think.
cheeyf 03-12-2007, 01:18 PM yea both are good players and the pair who are in good condition and not tired will have an advantage.
hehe
ya wch is really a fighter as proven in MO n others
wish him luck
by the way what happen to the matches?
now there is no matches at all on screen
hmmm
weird
IndoAmerican 03-12-2007, 01:23 PM Not sure what's going on, I don't have anything displayed on LiveScore either... weird...
cheeyf 03-12-2007, 01:35 PM hey it's starting now
haha
so late
wonder what caused the delay
it's 2.33am now in mas
sleepy
haha
anyway enjoy everyone:)
the doubles will start tomorrow.
First, i became an owl, stay late at nite, later i became panda, not enough sleep, and now i m a rabbit, red eyes...:D :D :D Since when BC become 'zoo'?:D
We have owls, pandas, and rabbits in BC. But don't forget that we also have roosters in the US (wake up early to watch).
BC is a big zoo.
IndoAmerican 03-12-2007, 04:02 PM Two INA players are in the court.
WS - Adriyanti Firdasari
MS - Tommy Sugiarto
Looks like Adriyanti is wining easily over Kamila Augustyn from Polandia
while Tommy vs Wong Choong Hann match will be interesting
Any INA or MAS supporters watching the LiveScore?
nugroho 03-12-2007, 04:21 PM i'm INA supporter...and still on the livescore...
;)
nugroho 03-12-2007, 04:22 PM ops.... tommy seems difficult to find his game ... left behind 15-19 to WCH
sickgal 03-12-2007, 04:24 PM wch n kbh!!!! jia you jia you!!!!!!!!

IndoAmerican 03-12-2007, 04:30 PM Yep, Adriyanti Won easily.
Tommy is strugling after loosing the first game, now at 6-6.
Simon Santoso is now on court, he will probably win easily too over Oliver Andrey from the host country.
sickgal 03-12-2007, 04:32 PM wch/kbh!!! jia you jia you!!!!!
IndoAmerican 03-12-2007, 04:34 PM wch/kbh!!! jia you jia you!!!!!

kbh....win the 2nd game !!!! don't give it away....!!!!
nugroho 03-12-2007, 04:42 PM tommy won the 2nd game
IndoAmerican 03-12-2007, 04:43 PM As I predicted, Simon won easily on the first game 21-7.
Tommy seems to have figured out how to beat WCH, that is, judging from the results of the first two games (compared to the ones in All England), Tommy seems to have improved his game in just one week. Game 3 will be interesting and a very close one. I wish someone is recording the matches.
sickgal 03-12-2007, 04:45 PM kbh...jia you jia you!!!!! n wch!!! win the rubber game!!!!!
IndoAmerican 03-12-2007, 04:51 PM kbh...jia you jia you!!!!! n wch!!! win the rubber game!!!!!

sickgal 03-12-2007, 04:54 PM honestly!! i think kbh can run for the hafiz's yoyo club for the president post!!!! wch!! jia you jia you!!!
sickgal 03-12-2007, 04:55 PM Tommy is trailing, Simon is winning second set too... go INA
if kbh is not able to win it...plzz let wch do!!!! wakkakakak...wch n kbh!! jia you jia you!!!!!!
IndoAmerican 03-12-2007, 05:13 PM Simon got his ticket to the next qualifying round,
Tommy has to suffer another lost from WCH in a rubber game.
Oh well...
IndoAmerican 03-12-2007, 05:14 PM honestly!! i think kbh can run for the hafiz's yoyo club for the president post!!!! wch!! jia you jia you!!!
Something is very wrong with KBH, he was trailing big time on third set and then seems like someone or something woke him up but the damage was already done. Is he injured at the second game, or something?

i seriously dunno... if he is injury free..then he can really run for the president post in the yoyo club!!:p:p
tjl_vanguard 03-12-2007, 07:14 PM YOYO Club Committee Members:
President: Muhd. Hafiz Hashim
Vice President: Kuan Beng Hong

IS BETTER for KBH not to qualified until he fully equipped himself otherwise it is really a big dissappointment & shame to the country . . .
markchan 03-12-2007, 09:06 PM Is better for KBH to stay home. Period.
markchan 03-12-2007, 09:07 PM Is better to send the juniors for more exposure than to waste money on KBH.
Jessica 03-12-2007, 09:08 PM If he continue doing like this, his badminton career will not last long...
angelatby 03-12-2007, 09:10 PM HAhahahahahahahaa, by the way, wat happen to "CHINESE MONOPOLY" Forum, they are having a BIG WAR there until the tread is closed?? OMG    , luckily i didnt join the POLITICS !! hahahaha, well, back to KBH :D :D
Dimduo_81 03-12-2007, 09:20 PM i think Kuan Beng Hong should buck up and, he should seriously think if he wants to be a quality player, I mean you got to really really really want to be a world champion to be one. Not just playing some tournaments just for the sake of it. The way he plays, I notice, is kind of lackadaisical attitude. Is he under Misbun?
angelatby 03-12-2007, 09:25 PM i think Kuan Beng Hong should buck up and, he should seriously think if he wants to be a quality player, I mean you got to really really really want to be a world champion to be one. Not just playing some tournaments just for the sake of it. The way he plays, I notice, is kind of lackadaisical attitude. Is he under Misbun?
Isnt KBH should be under Wong Tat Meng now?? I would rather choose to think KBH has reach a certain level of his career, tats sound more consoling :crying: :crying: :crying:
Shiro 03-12-2007, 09:45 PM I seriously ther's something wrong with him...he betted repair his self before there is no longer a Kuan Beng Hong in badminton...
Aiyo..I was hoping he would enter the main draw
angelatby 03-12-2007, 10:14 PM Action speaks louder than words, it might not be as easy as we think though. But, on the other hand, i do think any of our double players can win against KBH, haha, sounds very bad right :p
angelatby 03-12-2007, 10:28 PM But then, KBH flashed back my memory again during Malaysia Open when i was in the Stadium. The time when he was playing against Bao Chun Lai, dunno at which stage (should be 2nd), it was so so so so so FRUSTRATING, seeing him totally surrendered the point to BCL. We all know that BCL is getting better, but at least he should fight for the points. He wasnt running nor chasing for the shuttle and the way he played totally shown lack of sportmanship. There were few people sitting just in front of me, wearing T-Shirt with "Kuan Beng Hong" printing. He has so many supporters, but it ended . . .
Dimduo_81 03-12-2007, 10:41 PM Can someone tell me if we can watch Swiss Open live online?
ronnie14 03-12-2007, 11:54 PM hope to see the mlsian shuttlers shine again :)
Dimplex 03-13-2007, 12:13 AM Damn so sad for KBH...losing to Bobby Milroy :(
But i'm glad to see WCH didn't meet the same fate...he beat Tommy Sugiarto 21-16 11-21 21-13. Must've been quite a match! Tommy is sure to be a world beater in a few years..or even less.
Stuart Gomez from Australia beat Nikhil Kanetkar the 5/8 seed 21-13 21-12...goooo Aussies? hehe
I hope to see Chan Chong Ming and Hoon Thien How qualify for the main draw :D
pjswift 03-13-2007, 02:53 AM I seriously ther's something wrong with him...he betted repair his self before there is no longer a Kuan Beng Hong in badminton...
Aiyo..I was hoping he would enter the main draw
If I remember correctly, he's in the same draw as WCH and he may choose not to go beyond. Don't be too hard on him. Just because he failed once, he got labelled. Put yourself in his position for just one minute. Tell me how do you feel?
Dreamzz 03-13-2007, 06:05 AM does anyone know the result for yogendran vs kasper?
was the game even played last night?
IndoAmerican 03-13-2007, 06:09 AM does anyone know the result for yogendran vs kasper?

Apparently Kasper has been promoted to the main draw because Hasif widthdrew from the tournament due to injury. So most likely Yogendran will play Simon Santoso next.
