How come you didn't say the same thing when LCW decided to skip Denmark open 2006 to prepare for Asian games last year? I mean LCW didn't play for more than a month prior to AG:eek: and you didn't think he stood no chance???:confused::rolleyes:

Chen Hong really only missed All England + Swiss Open(all in one month)... whereas LCW played 4 matches where he lost 2 and won 2 total in the 2 tournaments... how is that suppose to make a huge difference???:rolleyes: + Chen Hong said he had been training not like eating tofu dessert all day at home or something.:p

I agree with you. CH position is best, no pressure no high expectation for a very good player still at his prime, and in a "retired" position, and without LD and BCL participating. Yeah, I put my coin bet in him to reach the final if not winning the whole thing. I confess I am bias cos CH is one of my favorite player, LOL!!:p

Precisely ! It was because LCW never had a chance after a long break that I now think anyone away from competition for a while will have no chance. He had to be real motivated to practice hard on his own, which I think is normally not the case. Competition gives you an edge to be be sharp -- but of course, if we play too much, it will take the shine of you.

Yes, the draw is out....I dont see Chen Jin in the list...only Chen Hong and Chen Yu....Lee Chong Wei is the 1st seed, Chen hong the 2nd seed....So unfortunate...LCW have to face TH in the quaters...Chen Yu in the Semis..:crying: .....alll the best to LCW...In MD...Choong/Lee 1st seed, KKK/TBH the 2nd Seed......there is no notable pairs from Indo....only 2nd. liners....OSH/TBS will face KKK/TBH in the quater..:mad: ...... based on the latest performance of all chinese players, ill say china doesnt need him to win.....they have the top 4 MS (reality, not based on ranking).....without LD, CHN will stil b sufficient enough to survive a gold anytime. unless when TH is in his top form, then LD is the only one who has a higher percentage of winning against TH.

Furthermore, my zealousness in defending LCW is well known. I still think greatly of him despite the loss --- wish I could be his mentor in some ways to impart my positiveness to him.

I think he gets overwhelmed by players such as LD and Taufik even though we can see he has the strokes to match them. He talks about the losing of his confidence and yet I think confidence is just a figment of the mind.
