I personally do NOT agree these attires are for badminton. What do you think?

I personally think it's cool and appropriate.
There is nothing shocking in that attire.

yup, don't see why it's not appropriate. looks similar to tennis attire.

Is it because you are thinking that people will "sexualize" female badminton players? Thus further deameaning the game of badminton?
I am just curious if that is your opposition to the attire of the players posted.

A fresh change (of clothing)! One that should be encouraged to bring badminton closer to the "Western" mainstream. Please introduce a greater variety of design, fabric and colours and make the game more eye catching! ;)

Badminton has to do lunges, which, I think it'll be better to keep badminton safe from sexualization.

I consider myself pretty conservative but these attires look ok. I would have frowned if they started wearing beach volleyball attire on a badminton court. :p

I have no complaints..since we see this in professional tennis. I think it would definately bring more "eyes" to the game of badminton. I'm glad there is some variety and different colours instead of seeing the same ole design.

it's fine as long as people are watching badminton for the game, not for the attire.

It's not that easy! :p
I've been to a business lunch with a business associate in a private club near her office. They waitress there are dressed in "bunny girl" attire revealing most part of their body. Trust me, it is not easy to focus on the meal nor discussing business when these scantily dressed ladies are walking back and fro around you!!!

..and of course, most importantly, if the players themselves feel comfortable playing in those attires, then more power to them..;) :D

hum never seen those bvefore, i dont think theres anything wrong with it, its actually pretty refreshing from the usual atire that you always see at tournaments standard polo shirts (yes i knwo some players dont always wear them) and all this is actually really nice it does remind me of tennis but yeah no problem with it at all. Its just like co much moe casual it seems i dont know thats just my take on it but yeah i think their attire is completly ok.

I got nothing wrong with that kinda clothing for badminton.... kinda looks good:D . Yes it does remind me of tenis players, but that's not a problem to me. It also gives fans a little something extra to look at other than the badminton match:p

Yes, oh yes... it's about time we moved past our reservation. Anybody can wear what they want to wear. If it's too distracting for you, then it's really your own fault:p!

we should all just play naked =P the whole society should just be naked. after all, we're born naked O_O hahaha... jk. i see nothing wrong with the attire. if u have a dirty mind, u'd prolly think the sexual part of it. if u keep it straight, then whatevers. when i play badminton (mix) i'm not gonna care about what the girl wears, i'm gonna play the game. if i'm a spectator, the game is boring but the girl is hot, i'd still lose interest in watching a game if a more interesting game is going on somewhere else. that being said, WHY ARE POLO SHIRTS WORN TO PLAY THE GAME?!?!? that's not really proper attire either because polo shirt (due to the fact that the shirt goes up and wraps the neck a little keeps the heat in more than a t-shirt). And they wonder why ahtletes faint from heat and dehydration... all that heat creates more sweat and the lose more water... till recently when they came up with better material for those shirts. what's good, what's bad... different ppl different views. if u think itz bad, i doubt anyone can convince you to think that itz fine to wear it. if you think itz great, then i dun think anyone can convince you that it sux. last but not least, players has to play comfortably to perform their best. let them wear what they want as long as it is still in the PG area (no nakedness). when nakedness occurs, we prolly will have private sessions of naked badminton tournaments going on O_O har har. that last part is a joke so... .....

That's only acceptable if you're in a nudist camp:D. I wonder how much sweat one'll spray if one really played naked. Gotta have shoes at least, can't be jumping around bare-footed on a hardcourt floor:p.

I like it.
As the same goes in tennis...
Female badminton players, should not be treated as indistinguishable automatons.
I'm glad the look is changing :D
One reason why I liked Camilla Martin so much, is because she proved, you can be a great player & still look good at the same time.

That's more a matter of someone choosing to go there, or choosing to go elsewhere for lunch; and your own self discipline.
Next time just choose a different locale if the venues do not meet your taste.
I often go watch live tennis, swimming events, etc etc etc; I don't hoot and holler at those events and those ladies are in even skimpier outfits.
If your mind is wandering when you should be focused on other matters; then that is something that should be worked on...:p:D

I'd say that she proved no such thing...
...unless you mean that before Camilla Martin came along, badminton players were either great players or good-looking but not both :;)

I wish I didn't support this. I support the right of people to choose what they wear (within limits). If women want to sexualize themselves in sport, that is fine by me, I've certainly done it in small ways. I support their choice. And I also realize that this kind of attire will probably attract more viewers, which is ultimately good in badminton, so I suppose I feel the end justifies the means.

I was nearly blinded when I saw Charmaine Reid in that outfit. While I support all our Canadian players 100%, I would suggest she rethink her choice of outfit. Mis Bott's outfit = 2 thumbs up :D

The first one was quite ok,just a simple cross at the back look simple & elegant, but the 2nd pics quite messy with messy sling like an oldtimes bra and worst still if the material too thin in plain white when sweaty (emboss body print ).
