I am searching out the old style badminton shoes like the double dragonfly super shoes which have the red and blue stripes on it and also the style with green soles.
I have been all over the net searching these, does anyone know if they are still around for sale anywhere in the world?
any info on any of these old styles would be a huge help.
thanks.

i saw them for sale in malaysia, but that was like 10 years ago!
why do you want these, granted they're light but the cushioning is terrible and if you're jumping around a lot, i reckon your knees will go in no time due to the shock.
i must say, they are pretty cheap though.

I used to wear those for a long time, but without the stripes. Nowadays they are not easy to find. Here in Canada, the only place I have seen them being sold was in Chinatown. Maybe you could check the Chinatown in your area.

That was exactly what I wore about 30 years ago and I remembered it used to cost SGD7 (approx. USD4.50) and then rose to SGD11 (approx. USD7.00) in the later part of 1980s. But I donot see them anymore in the market now especially after Yonex also produce some cheaper version of badminton shoes in canvas (something you donot see in any official Yonex catalogue and make me doubt if they are genunie Yonex products!)
But one thing for sure it does not hurt my legs, it has quite a sturdy base which is the heaviest part of the shoe. The top is made of canvas which wrap quite comfortably around the feet.
The downside of this shoe is low ankle support, it is easier to twist the ankle if not landed properly. When used frequently without proper ventilation, it causes smelly feet too!
During the late 70s and the 80s, Dragonfly brand has to be the most common badminton shoes one can see in any badminton courts. The other brand that came to my mind in the 80s was the Bata brand BM-2000, which cost similar price.
