Hello, I am currently using an Armortec 700. I need inputs on the 800OF to determine if I should purchase the 800F? I am an offensive player with mostly smashing plays!
Thanks!

View Full Version : Armortec 700 or 800 OF? elite88 04-10-2007, 12:11 PM Hello, I am currently using an Armortec 700. I need inputs on the 800OF to determine if I should purchase the 800F? Zero_Cool 04-10-2007, 12:16 PM i have the same issue....just about to write on asking our fellow friends here...thanks for bringing this question. in my case...i used to have at800OFF and thinking of buying at700. please advise our forum members. thanks Kelvin 04-10-2007, 12:27 PM might want to ask this in the comparison's forum... or do a search in there. silentheart 04-10-2007, 01:12 PM Just my 2 cents. AT700 smash better than AT800-o. AT800-o is more maneuverable. AT800-o is more fragile. AT800s are discountinued in USA and CAN, so in case of warrenty issue, you will get something else for replacement. AT800s hold tension better due to the grommet design. Also, do a search before you ask. Loppy 04-10-2007, 02:43 PM AT700 is better for singles, AT800 better for doubles, I think. sifuyono 04-10-2007, 08:21 PM Just my 2 cents. For smash IMO both almost the same.:) fishmilk 04-10-2007, 08:41 PM Honestly, racquets don't make much of a difference in your game. Especially racquets as similar as these. The only thing you will have to consider are the following. 1) AT800 OF's are stiffer than the AT700's. 2) AT800 OF's are discontinued while the AT700's are not. If you fall in love with the AT800 OF and break it, you may have a hard time finding a new replacement. elite88 04-10-2007, 10:41 PM What about Armortec 900P? Anyone used 900P yet and is it the same as 700? I purchased a NS8000 without checking people's inputs and got stuck with it. IMO NS8000 not as powerful as 700 and it's more design for drop shot play or finesse plays. Honestly, racquets don't make much of a difference in your game. Especially racquets as similar as these. You are right on the money for NS8000 Blitzzards 09-11-2009, 06:06 AM Please excuse me as I revive this old thread in search of newly unanswered questions :) Is the AT700 (old colour) pretty much the same as the AT800OF due to the same composition materials with the later just slightly stiffer because of the longer handle and shorter shaft? I'm currently married to the old colour AT700 but an elderly badminton club mate told me to check out the AT800OF as he thinks I can handle the stiffness. Should I take the plunge and order some online or should I also give the AT900P a try? Is the AT900P an improved version of the AT800OF? But what properties does it have that makes it better? quik_silver 09-11-2009, 07:05 PM you should really do a search on it... there are topics about it.... Blitzzards 09-11-2009, 08:20 PM Well, hehe no kidding; couldn't find the specific answers regarding the head heaviness (most replies in the old threads are contradicting to each other). BBEShop lists the head weight of AT800OF as heavier also....(am getting confused so need "post-hype" review). |
