hi,

anyone know how to find out the balance of the racket just by swinging?
okay, is swinging a head heavy racket heavier than swinging a head light racket?

you can really figure it out by holding it.
Try holding it straight up first, then at a 90 degree angle from your arm.
If it feels heavyer when holding it at an angle, it's head heavy.
If you can, try this on an at700, you'll notice the difference quite good.

in relation to that, if i find it heavier to swing a head heavy racket, should i ideally be changing to a head light racket?

It will be all up to your preference, also you will get used to a head heavier racket given enough time and you have the strength to use it.

i prefer balanced by far. head heavy racquets are for top sportsman who know how to control the racquet. i'd much rather have a less powerful smash and have better control and defense. after all, we need to be able to defend before offending

I can play decent defence with a head heavy racquet, but I am on defence less with how much harder i can smash, and i like backrow drop and cut shots with a head heavy racquet more, i feel i hit it more solid, and smoothly through it

edit: then again I also play singles

what happens when you come across a person who doesn't allow you to smash much?

:) Measurement for 670cm racket...
balance the racket shaft on your finger and mark the spot...Now measure from the butt of grip to the mark...
This measurement will be 285 cm plus or minus 2cm...the higher the number (290) the more head heavy the racket..;) hi,
