On my racquet, it says
"Ti 6 TITANIUM MESH LONG SP",
does anyone know what the "SP" means?

Its just a marking to indicate the region in which it was made. SP supposingly stands for Singapore. But i believe that it stands for South Pacific. CN/CP China. DK Denmark. um HK Hong Kong, TH Thailand, etc......

Hi....
I think SP in this case is SPECIAL, the opposite of type R or REGULAR, The rackets with SP usually is made with special crieteria if we compare with the same type. i.e. more long 10 mm, different in color

no. wrong. unfortunately, it means Singapore. though a lot of people would want it to mean "special" instead... :)

years ago, Yonex Cab 8 SP rackets were quite a bit different than other Cab 8s. Some of these were sold in the US. most players here considered them inferior.

From what I've heard from others in this forum, more current SP rackets are not necessarily inferior or significantly different from non-SP rackets.

to all: what is your take on the quality of recent SP rackets?

I think the Shaft only says Power 600! I dont think iT says Sp like Ti 8 Sp! Are u sure that The Sp In the shaft is fro Singapore! I doubt it but then ...

The slim 10. Power 200, Power 600 all haev smash Theory frames!

yes. the 600 i bought from HK actually has a "SP" on the shaft. where as the one i got from US doesn't.

talking about Iso600, noticed Gopi has started using the MP77 lately?
