The SR is light, right??(81g). Even though I know it's a defensive racquet, can it give a powerful smash? I'm sure it's not going to be as powerful as the SX or the Ti-10, but I just want to know if it has enough power to make it somewhat a defensive & offensive racquet. tnx.

Very difficult to tell ! I bought my 900 SR CN (yes, not a normal SR, but CN) 6 months ago, and it was strung with BG85 at ~25 lbs since day one. During 1st several times I played with this racquet, I found that the power was weak - clear was still ok, but definitely not for smashes. As a result, the racquet had been put inside my cabinet for several months.
Recently (1 to 2 weeks ago) I tried to play with this racquet - surprisingly, I found that the racquet is quite powerful. In fact, it was my coach told me that how come you can produce such a powerful smashes (and he asked me what racquet I was using) !
Honest speaking, I don't think I've made such a big improvement in last 6 months. However, based on the performance of this racquet I've recently, I would say the power being generated is fine in most cases - by the way, you don't need a super powerful smash to win a game, right ? What SR can give you is extremely good manuverability, but at the same time, reasonably power (I found that it works perfectly with BG85).
Fyi, I used to play with Ti-10 and TiSP SX, but I've put these racquets in my cabinet two weeks ago - I've switched to TiSP SS and ISO 900 SR (both are CN) and I found that these racquets provide the best balance for me at this moment.
