View Full Version : At700 more power than ns9k? vagpwner 04-23-2007, 03:06 AM I just got a real ns9k and i find that the At700 has more power lol. Its type X and the yonex chart says its the most powerful but i say the at700 is more powerful. Am i alone in this? :D Depends on one's preference. If you are an offensive player, well... AT700 is more powerful. If you are a defensive player but good wrist power, NS9K may be a better racket, and... AT900P will 'behave' like a NS9K+AT800... Thanks. Linus 04-23-2007, 04:11 AM I just got a real ns9k and i find that the At700 has more power lol. Its type X and the yonex chart says its the most powerful but i say the at700 is more powerful. Am i alone in this? :D Sorry but what Yonex chart you are refering to? The standard Yonex chart only indicates the Soft/Hard Feel at contact on the X-axis and the Attack/Defence-oriented on the Y-axis. I doubt Yonex will ever compare wich model is more powerful than the other. It will be a marketing suicide. Yfever 04-23-2007, 04:15 AM i have the same experience, at700 feels more powerful than ns9000x. i dont wanna judge both rackets based on what the yonex websites tell us or what users of both rackets say coz we all know that same rackets may have different results/feelings/performance/etc for every individual. i use my trusty at700's for tourneys & serious/competitive club matches. im still looking for my ideal string/tension combo for my ns9000x to maximize its potential. UncleFester 04-23-2007, 07:59 AM It boils down to your technique, and what kind of rackets you are used to(headheavy, even balanced, headlight). A player thats used to headheavy rackets will get more power from an at700, and the other way around. To get the max of the ns9000X, you'll need a really good stroke, otherwise the racket won't bend properly, and you could as well use a piece of wood instead. Stealthboy 04-23-2007, 10:24 AM Sorry but what Yonex chart you are refering to? The standard Yonex chart only indicates the Soft/Hard Feel at contact on the X-axis and the Attack/Defence-oriented on the Y-axis. I doubt Yonex will ever compare wich model is more powerful than the other. It will be a marketing suicide. If you have a look in the Yonex 2007/08 catalogue there is a player profile chart in there stating the NS9000X is the best racquet for the smash-based hard hitter. It is the same thing as saying it's the most powerful racquet they manufacture. Loppy 04-23-2007, 10:35 AM I don't think the Yonex charts are necessarily the most accurate guide around, it's more of a guideline, and besides the NS9000X is probably also the most expensive Yonex racket, so hence Yonex would also market it as the best. I'm also guessing the AT700 will have more power due to it's head-heavyness. Zangetsu 04-23-2007, 12:00 PM I guess AT700 might be more powerful because your wrist is too weak to bend the 9KX properly. If you are able to bend the 9Kx then it should be more powerful than the AT700. jerby 04-23-2007, 02:30 PM comparing which weightclasses? I can imagine a ns9X 2U hitting harder than a at700 4U... Tsumaranai 04-23-2007, 08:12 PM I wonder if a NS9kx is more powerful than an AT 900P. HKChua 04-23-2007, 08:21 PM I wonder if a NS9kx is more powerful than an AT 900P. From my experience, certain no. The power you can draw from AT900P is immense, it is a balance of defense and offense.... Thanks. sifuyono 04-23-2007, 08:23 PM still waiting for master dink racket chart comparison, and still can't get the full potential of ns9000x w/ bg-66 HKChua 04-23-2007, 08:35 PM still waiting for master dink racket chart comparison, and still can't get the full potential of ns9000x w/ bg-66 If you want power, I would rather suggest AT-700. But... if you want a balance of power and defense... AT-900P will not disappoint you. I am referring to a 3U racket, not 4U. Thanks. clearng 04-24-2007, 03:31 AM powerful ? just depend on your hand izzit power enough to swing it if ur have a super man hand even i give u a cheap racket u also can perform very powerful foo.tw 04-24-2007, 03:41 AM A simple question. How do you bend NS9000-X? lol It might be the most powerful racket.( in the hand of the most powerful person) sifuyono 04-24-2007, 03:50 AM If you want power, I would rather suggest AT-700. So would you say the MP66 also shares the same stiffness as AT700 because of Ultimum Ti ? vagpwner 04-25-2007, 05:28 AM possibly the same when swinging? i have never tried 66 jerby 04-25-2007, 06:00 AM dude....seriously... MusclePower100 04-25-2007, 11:58 AM its your own opinion either at700 or ns9k has more power. in my opinion i generate more power with the ns9k type x. |
