Is it normal for you to buy a racket each month or do you just stick to one ? It's perfectly normal for the fanatics to collect (or, eagerly to try out) different rackets. If there are ppl collecting stamps, coins, cars, etc, why can't ppl collect rackets, if they can afford it. However, if you participate in very high level of games or tournaments very often, I don't think switch to a different racket every 2 days is a good idea. If for collect hobby, it's perfectly fine. Matt14500 04-23-2007, 04:05 PM I only have one racquet, just started out 4 months ago. I have a Carbonex 8400. I guess it's okay for someone like me but I think it lacks power. I might buy an Armortec 500 in a couple of months. I mainly play offensive but I want something a bit more balanced. Tsumaranai 04-23-2007, 08:07 PM Where do they sell Woven 7is? Viper2005 04-26-2007, 03:43 AM I think the question is how many rackets have you owned all together? Isn't this a Racket Stock Check (http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65)? Gollum 04-26-2007, 04:01 AM I think buying a racket every month would qualify as an addiction :D Currently use: 2 identical rackets Also own: 5 rackets, of which 2 are old budget rackets and one is a "garden spare" Broken: 1 racket (my then partner's fault. No, really) Discarded: 1 racket, not worth the cost of restringing Not counting: "garden badminton" racket setsTotal: 9 rackets, of which 4 were my early budget rackets. Since I started to buy "serious" rackets, I've used three different rackets in about 7 years: Yonex Mp88, Karakal SL-70, and Yonex At800-DE (in that order). For the Karakal and At800, I bought a pair (so I would have a backup). So my racket changes, over about 9 years, have been: Buy first (cheapo) racket Upgrade from cheapo racket to budget racket Upgrade from budget racket to "serious" racket (Mp88) Broke Mp88 and switched to Karakal Changed to At-800 just because I liked it better |
