we used to play in puchong on late friday nights... but we decided to switch to sunday mornings as it is a healthier time plus we don't have to pay toll to get there. also we were disappointed the last couple of weeks when no courts were available during that time slot. wanna try new location since it's also closer for us in subang. currently playing from 10am-12pm. about 3 players confirmed (and a few more tentative in the coming weeks).

as for shuttle, currently i have some protech platinum. will try masterpiece next.

so far i booked one court for this weekend. will try to book more if needed especially when once the number of players is settled (ie committed players).

hei, i suggest u guys play at Subang Racquet.
I have tried the court in the place that u mentioned, above the restaurant and karaoke. The lightning system is very poor. Although the court is rubber court, but i think it still not worth. I cannot enjoy playing at there.
Just a advise.

definitely i will welcome any players as long as beginner to average players and committed to come! too beginner and u would find it hard to cope. too good and u may be bored playing with us. in between beginner and average level, and u may find it enjoyable. u are welcome to join the group if u let me know in advance if you're coming. our group has a mixture of adults and teenagers.

as for fees, depending on the number of players, it will be around RM8-10 per session including costs of shuttles and court.

we like a mix. and we definitely have players that are veterans in placement and court craft instead of just jumping and smashing all over :) so as long as the players are not plain beginners then we are ok bcos sounds like we can learn from your dad too.

the details are already listed in the first post of this thread. cost of court and shuttle to be shared among the players attending on that day so it's dependent on the number of players present. court fees are RM44 for 2 hours.

we normally use protech masterpiece (which is approx RM50 per tube).

Hey, how come nobody mentioned the fast growing BADMINTON CITY in USJ19/23???
There got 3 large badminton centres.. USJ23 one has about 24 courts, slightly expensive (RM25 per hour for rubber court at night, RM20 for parquet).This one is most comfortable because parking right in front. But makan available, only burger and some light food. Drinks also sometimes the guy closes early. The racket shop here also open and close as the towkay likes, but shuttlecocks always available in office......
Another one just down the road USJ19 is Twins Sports, there they have about 18 rubber courts (apacs court mat). But the courts feel a bit hard cos they just laid the vinyl on the cement, no padding underneath. But grip is okay... RM19 per hour. This one, parking a bit of a problem, but the office is also the racket shop, so you won't have problems if u run out of shuttlecocks or need urgent restring or grip..etc... This one has a mamak stall in it, so drinks/makan no problem...
A new one called Supercourts, just down the road from Twins, just opened. In fact, this afternoon was the official launching. Currently, until July, they offering promotion package. Played there last night - RM25 for two and half hours... This one got about 20 courts, half of which rubber Apacs court with padding.. Nice, open space, but parking a bit uncomfortable, cos u got to park around the building.. Sometimes when full, u got to park right at the back of the factory lot and walk all the way around the building to get to the entrance.. But makan wise, this one is the best, because got Chinese seafood shop and a mamak shop in it. Just across the road, you can find a Malay tomyam seafood shop... Racket shop also quite good and open throughout business hours, selling various brands of shuttlecocks.. They also sell good selection of Apacs, Protech, Li-Ning and Yonex equipment... This is my current favourite court despite the slight hassle with the parking...
Subang Racquet Club used to be my joint, but the place now a bit run-down and ventilation sucks, plus they only have cement and parquet courts.... I only go there when no courts available in USJ....
All said and done, if you love badminton, Subang Jaya is THE place to live.. I'm definitely lovin it!!! hahaha....
