ms: Chen Yu. Chen Yu has been playing very well so far this year... as far as super series ranking points is concerned, his performance is probably as good as LD, and CJ if not better overall. Boonsak defeated the recoverying LD on the road to the final, but don't over-look the fact that Chen Yu defeated the in-form Gade(whom defeated Taufik:p:D:D:D)... I still give the advantage to Chen Yu.
Gade missed his golden opportunity to win another super series... any time he doesn't need to play against Lin Dan is already his golden opportunity.

md: Cai/Fu will simply defeat the two old geezers from Malaysia... simple as that... and need no more explaination. Cai/Fu will make sure that Malaysia(without Koo/Tan) will all go home "GOLD-LESS".

ws: XXF will prevail as she is in better form than ZN... no question.

wd: YW/ZTT... they will make this one the "hat trick!!!":D

Ah, but u didn't see Choong/Lee in action in q-finals and semis, compared to them, CY/FHF had more trouble subduing their opponents. Defensively, Choong/Lee are more sound than Koo/Tan, they could even take most midcourt smashes from Kido.

A long time ago, net attacks was a CHN specialty (during LYB's playing days), if MAS pairs wanted to beat CHN pairs, they had to push the opponents to the baseline.

In the interest of badminton development, I would love Boonsak to beat Chen Yu. Yet, Chen Yu deserves to win too, he has been in the background for too long. Time for China to acknowledge that he too is a tournament winner like Lin Dan, Bao and Chen Jin.

That was one of the best defensive performances of all time, against a very strong and in-form Gade. I can only remember Ardy Wiranata's 1990 All England semis win over Wu Wenkai as equivalent. And we thought defensive style is obsolete in the 21-pts per rally system!!

Saralee/Sudket has the capacity to win XD, but Saralee is not too comfortable at the net, and in my opinion she roams slightly further back from the net than ideal (saw their match from side view yesterday). Noticed a lot of sitters she missed. The same problem affects Lee Hyo-Jung of Korea.

Advantage Indonesia.

Looking at TF-WW played from ABC till now, I can categorically say they found a new 'lease' in their games. The ease in which they won over the INA pair has all the hallmarks of a champion pair (but of course !).

For me to think that they can lose today would be absurd, and so my confidence says, they will beat FU-CAI today and head back to the hotel for a celebration. KKK-TBH, you still have to respect TF_WW (and I recall Rexy saying that TF-WW are still worth their weight some time ago when they were down.....good on you Rexy, you know good players when you see one).

It's exhalerating... neck-to-neck close game but I think ZN is plsying real well, XXF made some unforced errors...

XXF has improved a lot on her stroke consistency. as a result, her shots are much more deceptive and difficult to read. even the mighty ZN seems to have problem reading her.
