The Pierre de Coubertin Stadium was inaugurated in 1937 for the World Fair. The architects at that time were Carré et Cavel. However the hall was bombarded during the WWII and was rebuilt.
The hall knew his apogee during the 50s and 60s when great boxe matches was played there.
Around a hundred sports demonstration are held in this hall each year, especially Basket Ball since the Paris Racing Basket Ball Club had made it his headquarter.
In 1990, the Paris Mayor decided to renovate all the stadium, press center, changing room, a new cafeteria, a big picture window etc etc

As it's said earlier the hall is situated in the sixteen's arrondissement. It's close to all biggest monuments in Paris as Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Louvre Museum etc etc ..
NB : The French Open will be held in the Pierre de Coubertin hall only this year and will move out for the most famous hall in Paris, and the biggest by far, LE PALAIS OMNISPORT DE PARIS BERCY.
