ok i dont know what are all your opinions but i really hate it when i see people saying that.. hey, you know XXX player is under YYY coach and should be trained ABC way to go further. my personal opinion is that the coach knows what to do and although the player plays for the country, we have no rights whatsoever to say such things.
Actually i agree with you. There was one time i rarely visit this thread. Just because i'm quite annoyed by those stuff you mentioned.
Just try to imagine my feeling if someone said 'I hate it when i see people saying that.......we have no rights whatsoever to say such things.' I hope you don't mind, just a discussion.
Don't Worry, be Happy:):):)

Sigh....Team Pelatnas returns home empty-handed after Dili Puspita Richi/Yulianto lost to Kim Min Jung/Ha Jung Eun 18-21, 12-21 as expected.
Unfortunately, Bona Septano/Mohd Ahsan also lost after a titanic struggle...21-19, 10-21, 21-23 to Khoo Chung Chiat/Chang Hun Pin. It's a tough match as I predicted and Bona/Ahsan couldn't win a second consecutive title
Meanwhile, Tan Chun Seang continued to show his fine form after beating Chan Kwong Beng in 3 sets. Korea swept 2 titles as Cho Gun Woo/Kim Min Jung and Jun Jae Yun won as expected.

..well, yannie is not only an invaluable resource to BC, but she's definitely BC's very special undercover communicator and informants to MJs, IJs, CJs/liaison to foreign players/Denmark's BC's ambassador/score updaters/latest breaking news announcer/advisor to badzine magazine/Professional players pictures collector/Professional Players "Guess Who" creator/cheerers for all the players she has come in contact with/and last griller, frier, baker, steamer, toaster, bbq-uer, poacher, boiler, braiser, broiler, roaster, simmerer, sauteer, rotisserier, searer, stewer & skewerer, of all the players;):)...yes, to put it mildly, she's very important..imagine BC without her presence..;):D:cool:

I believe that there are many candidates....as usual...they will choose, possibly, from government or military people ( for raising fund purposes)...I do not know why...they should elect a person who has badminton knowledge...sutiyoso is not the one....
I know why! because until now PBSI does not have robust revenue/income structure! :crying:
Badminton England have membership fees and the lottery donations to sports
Badminton France have membership fees and some government help
Badminton Malaysia have government funding and sponsorship [Proton etc]
Badminton China have government funding and sponsorship [Fedex, Dow, etc]
Badminton Indonesia...
no membership fees
no government funding
no lottery donation
no sponsorship aside from Yonex [which theoretically must ALL be given to athletes]
...thus PBSI branches [who have the right to vote on who shall be their head] ...resort to these generals ...whose idea of getting revenue is by asking for donations from wealthy individuals and corporations using their status as generals/governor etc. and most of the wealthy people do not want to anger the generals ...or seen as unsupportive towards the power-guy.
Semi-mafia concept of fund-gathering, actually... And in the long run un-sustainable! ...unless PBSI have a power-guy behind it.

PBSI should start by putting sponsors...if I am the head of PBSI I shall look to indofood...in return to their support..they will get to advertise on the players shirts.....n also they will be free to advertise in small events held by PBSI and also the main sponsor of superseries...
good offer for Indofood...there you go the win-win solution if Indofood is still not enough I shall look to Kratindaeng or Extrajoss I am sure they will be keen to sponsor PBSI as well...in return they will be able to use any of the players in their advertising with the money going to the players purely while extrajoss or kratindaeng or both continue to sponsor PBSI....so they shall fund our youth development scheme and also sending our players abroad for international events
The following company should be included in the proposal due to win-win solution:
Indofood (due to its size and also their brands will be more well known compared to their rivals mie sedap)
Kratindaeng (Big energy drink company can use players to advertise)
Extra Joss (Another big company)
Coca-Cola (For them is a small investment but imagine their names will be in badminton)
Yonex (well contract with yonex should be kept and when it expires I won't renew it)....instead I'll merge with Astec to provide us with the racket furthermore if Nike or Adidas are willing they shall provide the shirts....
so there you go my business proposal....wat do you guys think??
Finally asking Febbie Angguni out for lunch:p

(sponsorship ideas snipped for brevity)..
..kidosetiawan, rather than PBSI going out there to find sponsorship, ever thought of becoming the players' agent??;)..Just like here in the U.S., where there are sports agents to represent the players...You sound like a pretty good businessman..Good business opportunity for you also??..Who knows, you'll be the first professional sports agent in Indonesia..what do you think??;)

They are juniors. Managed to catch the MS and MD finals.
Just to give you a different perspective..Khoo's better at offense; Chang's better at defense so they complement each other. The MDF got off to a slow cold start and it wasn't until the 3rd game that the action got hot with the scores indicating neck to neck intensity. Physically, INA looked stronger built but to no advantage. They lost focus easily and the strangest thing was one tried to tell the service judge at least twice that he did not know his job. For a junior esp. to do that is madness.First ,the sj and umpire would get irritated so they are not going to be on your side should there be a 50/50 decision.Second, it tells your opponents that you are coping badly so you need excuses. Probably the only good reason to get the umpire's quick attention(just to get confirmation) is when there's clearly a very bad (not 50/50 type) line call so that should it be the line judge's inadvertent error, the next crucial line call will likely be in your favour cos the line judge will likely feel guilty enough to compensate. (An example of player coping badly would be the LD vs BP SO07 match. LD was so mentally tossed up by BP's surprising form that he questioned ,at least 3 times, line calls that were good and not even 50/50.)
In MS, CKB showed promise but it was quite clear he needed more match exposure to build up his stamina. After winning the first game he was already panting and it's credit to him that he continued to fight well till the last point in spite of his pain.TCS had the advantage in terms of stamina, being veteran (although young) of at least 3 matches in a day in at least 3 SS.
The nicest gift for me was to see KOR WS JJY play again. It's not surprising that she won, just on experience alone. JJY moves with such grace she makes badminton comes across like a beautiful dance.

Good description. TCS should build on this, I hope. If I were him, I think I would be getting confidence from the two wins.
As for CKB, he can improve further. He needs to improve his stamina coz I read he was rubbery in his legs in the 3rd.
