I do have very wide feet :crying: - for running and tennis, I use New Balance EEEE (brilliant:D), but I'm not sure they do a badmintionshoe , let alone a wide model.
Besides, there's another constraint - because of where I play, I've been told to wear non-marking soles, ie the classic yellowish whitish soles, like the old Hi-tec Squash. Unless, perhaps, technology has reached a point where even dark soles no longer mark floors.
So does anyone know of a shoe like this?
Thanks

tried the crocs shoes yet?:p
i think the shb99 is not too bad for wide feet
all badminton shoes are non-marking soles, so don't worry about that.
widely available wides shoes will be the Yonex ones. Mizuno also makes nice wide shoes, but i am not sure if they have distribution in the UK.

I recommend Mizuno as well. I have wide and long feet as well and Mizuno shoes fit me well.

Brilliant, thanks. While I'm here, I presume they should be ok for Squash as well? Can't be bothered to spend time looking for another pair of shoes.

squash and badminton shoes are pretty much 100% interchangable

get mizunos ...they are a little wider compared to the Yonex's :)
i use 27cm for yonex and 26.5 cm for mizuno's because they are wider...i tested a mizuno 27 cm and they were a little longer on my feet

I've been looking around, and these Mizuno shoes are very hard to get hold of in UK. I found a US website, Badmintonshoponline.us, but know little about them.
I think I'm going to order Mizuno 72054. They look good, and are pretty wide, by the looks of the sole.
Does anyone know if this website is solid?
Thanks

I agree, can't seem to find any Mizuno in Ozzie as well. I got mine from luxisnet and they are pretty reliable. Price wise, they are quite similar. Only problem with luxis is their website is not updated at all, at least for Mizuno shoes. You have to get quote by sending them email.
I ordered this,

Welcome to Mizuno club. Hope you enjoy your new shoe. :)

I am not sure if i entirely agree with your statement.
I play badminton and squash regularly and use the same pair for both. While I feel that badminton shoes are comfortable for squash, I did not find the dedicated squash (Hi-Tech) shoes comfortable for badminton :(, specially when jump smash, cos lack of cushioning in the Hi-Tech gave pain in my heals :(

BadmintonShopOnline.us is alright I think. I purchased the Yonex SHB 99 LTD shoes from them recently coz they're not available in Australia, and they arrived within a week and in fairly good condition (and they look pretty legit :P). So far so good methinks... just that they're a HK company, not a US company, but they're still quite reliable.
Just to add my 2 cents worth, I've got wide feet too, and I have to agree with cooler, the SHB 99s feel quite nice, though they don't last me more than a few months. =(
