So, except for the MS, WS and Jo Novita/Greysia Polii (they need ranking points before the WC2007 to boost up the rankings), INA mainly send the second-strings.
Therefore, don't expect much....I guess only Sony Dwi Kuncoro (and hopefully Simon Santoso, depending on the draw), Devin Lahardi/Lita Nurlita and perhaps Jo Novita/Greysia Polii (if they have a reasonable draw) going to qualify hopefully for the quarters.
The Djarum pairs of Rian Sukmawan/Yonathan Suryatama Dasuki and Sigit Budiarto/Fran Kurniawan could surprise though.
Other young pairs like Bona Septano/Mohd Ahsan, Dili Puspita Richi/Yulianti and Ahmad Tantowi/Yulianti will be there to rake up valuable ranking points. It will be good if they can win at least a match.

I think frist string will go to China SS then some of them like Maria may go to Philippine Open...they may send TH to Phillipine Open which lack of Star players....

KKK/TBH's performance in Sudirman Cup was not up to Rexy's expectation and they will not be sent to Thailand Open.
However, Malaysia will send their three musketeers Yogendren, Kuan Beng Hong and James Chua to Thailand Open and this is for sure.

They are using deadline by May 29...I believe.....the ranking are used for entry and seeding as well....so dont be surprise that the seeding wont be same as current ranking...lets say the ranking based on May 29 and the tournament starts on July 3 so if you look at ranking based on July 3 or a week before...can be different.....in Tennis....they use ranking based on entry list only but for seeding, they will use ranking a week before....

WMC has withdrawn from Thai Open due to an ankle injury sustained during her match against THA's Salakjit Ponsana. She will undergo rehabilitation, and may missed the CHN Open SS and even WC'07, if her injury doesn't recover in time. This account for why she lost the rubber game to Salakjit during SC. She was in pain then, but she carried on.

Chinese, Danish and Indon top pairs not participating in Thai Badminton Open
PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian doubles pairs will be looking to capitalize on the absence of top pairs from China, Denmark and Indonesia to maintain their impressive showing when they take part in the Thailand Open from July 3-8.
China's world number one Fu Haifeng-Cai Yun and Indonesia's top pair of Markis Kido-Hendra Setiawan have not entered for the Thailand Open, which is not part of the Super Series but under the Gold standard.
The entire Danish team, including the top doubles pair of Jens Eriksen-Martin Lundgaard Hansen, is giving the event a miss this time.
The All-England champions Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong will also be skipping the event but Malaysia will still have a strong doubles presence. Five Malaysian national pairs - Choong Tan Fook-Lee Wan Wah, Mohd Fairuzizuan Mohd Tazari, Gan Teik Chai-Lin Woon Fui, Tan Bin Shen-Ong Soon Hock and Chan Chong Ming-Hoon Thien How will be taking part along with six junior pairs coming from the Project 2010-2012 and Bukit Jalil Sports School squads.

Those THREE MUSKEETEERS shld be sacked from MAS national team long long time ago.... They never produce any significants results even in Satellite opens or in the local tournaments for past 2-3 years..... Cant understand Y MAS still keeps them & wasting $$$ to send them participating in tournament abroad.. They shld send more Juniors from Backup squad or Project 00/12 Team instead
However; I strongly support the ideal for sending more MD with the absence of KKK/TBH. Hopes any pair from the rest of field can clinch the crown.. And reduce the burden of KKK/TBH being rated as the GOLD medals prospect in WDC07/

Chun Seang: Bring on Chen Jin
KUALA LUMPUR: Inspired by his recent back-to-back international victories, national back-up shuttler Tan Chun Seang (pic) has vowed to give Chen Jin of China a run for his money in the Thailand Open from July 3-8.
The 21-year-old Chun Seang was unlucky to draw the top seeded Chen Jin in the first round of the US$120,000 tournament in Bangkok.
But the Malaysian, who won the Vietnam International Challenge (May) and the Asian Satellite (June), is not throwing in the towel yet.
“The recent wins have given me a lot of confidence. Chen Jin and I played in the same world junior tournament three years ago. He is the world number two now. I may not be in the same class as him but I hope to be up there eventually,” Chun Seang, the world No 39.
To ensure that he can keep pace with the big guns, Chun Seang has been working hard to improve on his attack.
“My coach (Rashid Sidek) has been focusing on my smashing skills every day. I spend about 30 minutes daily just on smashes,” he said. “My dream is to be the country’s top player. It will take a little more time but I believe that I am certainly on the right track.”
Chun Seang is one of the three players from the Project 2010-12 to play in the main draw of the Thailand Open. The others are Liew Daren and Chong Wei Feng.
In the first round, Liew will meet Indonesian Tommy Sugiarto while Wei Feng faces a qualifier.

the most 'intense' looking qualifyer group looks to be group 6 consisting of the following 4 players :-
Nugroho Andi Saputro (INA)
vs
Kwong Beng Chan (MAS)
&
Dionysius Hayom Rumbaka (INA)
vs
Beryno Wong [3] (MAS)
Apart from Saputro, the other 3 seem to be well established and I've already noticed some kind of 'fan-base' for Rumbaka & Chan Kwong Beng (CKB) at BC. Rumbaka & CKB also have some history during their recent age group tournament.
3rd seed Beryno Wong will have his hands full with this bunch... but I think he'll just have to spoil the day for CKB & Rumbaka fans.
The best part about this 'qualifier group of death' is the winner gets to face Lee Tsuen Seng, 2006 NZO Champ. Daunting task but not impossible.
all in all, it will be a busy first few days for qualifier group 6.

I personally find it hillarious that BAM has registered Teo Kok Siang (BAM youth player) in 2 tournaments running on the same week.
1) Thailand Open, 3-8 July
http://www.internationalbadminton.org/ThailandDraw/MSQ.xls
(He's in Qualifier Group #3)
2) BAM's own 'National Junior Circuit Grand Finals 2007', 3-7 July
http://www.bam.org.my:8080/NationalJuniorGrandFinals2007/upload/draw/U18_grouping.html
(He's in Group C of U18BS)

She has to go thru qualifiers though. And if she gets thru...she will probably face Lu Lan then if she survives..she will take on Xu Haiwen.
Tough Draw. I hope she gets high rankings soon. Qualifiers are really taxing.

Hayom Rumbaka will give Beryno Wong a hard time! ;) I can't bee too optimistic in predicting Hayom will actually win this time, but you should see Hayom's physique and technique... :p Hayom got the height [180+cm], body flexibility, speed, court coverage, and a full range of arsenals [thunder smash, net game, cross-chops, half-smash, backhand smash, drives etc.] ...unfortunately... his completes his full range of arsenal with his unreliable unforced errors, inexperience, and general lack of coherent strategy... :p
Nugroho Andi Saputro is not so well known outside Indonesia, but he is the 2006 Junior National Champion. He is also powerful and intimidating. Watch out for him! ;)
Note: they are both currently being taught by Fang Kaixiang, the last coach that brought Malaysia the Thomas Cup, in 1992. These 2 youngsters are part of Djarum Badminton club, a famous INA club that housed Liem Swie King -1978 & 1979 & 1981 All England Champ-, Alan Budi Kusuma -the 1992 Olympic Gold medal champ-, Ardy B. Wiranata -the 1991 All England Champ, Harianto Arby -the 1993 & 1994 All England Champ, as well as Sigit Budiarto, Luluk Hadianto, Maria Kristin, and Andre Kurniawan Tedjono...

Apart from Saputro, the other 3 seem to be well established and I've already noticed some kind of 'fan-base' for Rumbaka & Chan Kwong Beng (CKB) at BC. Rumbaka & CKB also have some history during their recent age group tournament.
Here's a picture of Nugroho Andi Saputro, the Indonesian 2006 Junior National Champion... Scary fellow. Intimidating offensive game. But still very beatable by the good pros... :p His strokes are incomplete...

Excelent info on the indo duo. So who do you think will win between Kwong Beng and Saputro?

I am not that familiar with Kwong. I think Nugroho Andi Saputro will win. He can only be contained by the experienced pros... Unless the opponent can do well-executed finesse plays and shots, Nugroho will slam and wham his way to victory...
Just look at Nugroho's face. A fierce fellow who likes to kill. Young Mike Tyson's temprament...

Whoops... Beryno's promoted to main draw after a series of withdrawals. Not quite a qualifier of death anymore... perhaps just 'critical' :D
