When i use the forehand grip and swing. The side of my thumb always gets rubbed to the grip making my skin hard. Is that normal?

I have a callous on the side of my thumb from badminton. But you would need to convert this post into a poll to see if this is "normal".
I also have a callous on the side, near the base, of my index finger, and another one on the middle section of my ring finger, all from playing badminton.

i got callousses in the exact same spots, most badminton players typically do.

i get it at the bottom of my index finger.. i beleive its just because your skin is thin, but over time, your skin will get tough. Well, mine did =D

i don't think it will do any harm to have them. it's natures natural way to toughen skin to adapt to hard work.

if i am not mistaken, i have seen taufik hidayat putting tape on his thumb area. i think it is because of this extra fraction there. maybe you could try that. :D
