I know that they have 3 grades of birds depending on the speed of the court or geographical situation of the Country it is played in! But then what did they Use at YONEX AE thsi year! will they use something like AS 50? I dont know any Yonex Bird that is Costlier if it all it exists.

At the copen masters it was RSL! so anybody have any Idea what Bird they would have used! I remember that after the Gopi Lou match It was Martin who played agst some person! she found the Birds to be very very fast which Unfortuantely Gopi complained abt and it was not changed! we all know that They cant break the Bird and play!

So what do u guys think is the actual Bird used! Is it special Tournament standard that we cant lay hands on! I think Immaterial of racket it is more important to have a decent Bird! I am sure many Of use here can play decently with a Cab 8! But Prob not all that well with a Bad bird!

so fella's let me knwo ur opinion on this! Pour in!

At the Copenhagen Masters they used RSL Tourney Classic. It's what we use at my club so I recognized the tubes immediately.

It's the best shuttle there is, in my opinion.

Snow Peak is pretty good as well. They feel slightly more sturdy to RSL.
HiQua seems to slow down considerably after a few rallies.

As for Yogi's original question, sorry, don't know the answer.

Yogi a good question!

Here at Thomas and Uber Cup in Melbourne, the official shuttle used is Yonex Aerosensa 50.

I've had a look around the practice courts to see what the pros use, and most of them were Yonex in various Aerosensa model, RSL and few other brands we never seen before in Australia.

Interestingly enough, there were plenty of officials walking about in RSL jackets during the tornament....

We mere mortals downunder get to use a brand called Epsilon. Feels pretty much similar to Yonex without the same durability. Kinda pricy as well. But not many of us use nylon shuttles because they stink and we're a spoilt lot! :P

Away from the topic, Yonex Ti-10 and MP-100 seems to be the choice of the professionals - they were the most numerous rackets in the hands of professionals, followed by MP77, various Ti models, Isometric Ti SPs and Gosens (couldn't tell what type). Surprisingly, very few Carlton rackets.

Hi Qua Blue used to be approved as well, and those shuttles are really cheap.
