drblade is just too happy and excited that his countryman did well to beat out a #5 rank player from CHN...we understand that and are also happy for him...and for the health of badminton to grow, we need more players not just from CHN, MAS or INA, etc. :D

Didn't Wacha beat XXZ back in AE 2004, if I am not mistaken...:p

But to call him a hero or one of the best in the world is somewhat exaggerated.:p

Let's see if he can become the top European player once Peter Gade retires after OG 08.;)

Wacha in the QF in an SS event. Wonder if this is a first for him...

Today Wacha proved that the win against Chen Yu was not the accident. He won against another Chinese player! Winning on the opponent’s home ground must be very sweet…

But to be honest it should be mentioned that Chinese MS players are cracking under pressure here in the China Masters.

Now there is only LD/BCL felt.

But coming back to Wacha it is great to see him in the great form again. He had a slump in his carrier last years. I don't remember him winning any big match with top tier players for a long time.

It looks like he regained his old form and I look forward him to become European Champion soon.

Maybe Wacha wanted to prove something because recently in Poland there were voices that he is finished and he can't win anything serious internationally. These two wins proves how big potential he still is having. Beating two Chinese on their homeland during SS. Great achievement!

Now Boonsak is waiting. He has great skills and soft touches. Wacha is very strong and fast.

We will see tomorrow who prevails.

Regards

If he can win against Ponsana tomorrow, that might justify all the bragging.

This seems to be the culture of BC forum... most people are so bias towards their own countryman. Not many here are close to being neutral at all.

Anyways, Let's go Wacha!!! I wouldn't mind a Lin Dan vs Wacha final in the China Masters...LOL.:D:D:D Now that is a must-have in my badminton video collection(if it ever happens:p) I would be laughing so hard if Wacha ends up beating LD in the finals, even though I am a Lin Dan fan as well.

I like the way you indirectly write off the might of CHN MS.Yes, it's plain easy to knock off 2 CHN MS in a row. CHN MS standard is slipping unaccountably...Even more impressive, Wacha's a Lone Ranger.

All means two...;)

But I don’t find this all bragging, rather cheering and enjoying.

White and red colors are often seen in the finals of SS tournaments. But this time upside-down.

Anyway today's win justifies all "bragging"

Wacha is 26 old.

And you spell his name as simple WAHA.

But don't try to spell his first name Przemysław, it's very difficult.

Some pictures, unfortunately I can't post it directly.
Anyone minds to help?

Thanks

Bad boy Bad Boy Wacha going to Wacha going to do when he comes for you!

Bad boy he really sometimes may be :D

Couple months ago he was banned from playing in Polish Open (the biggest international tournament in Poland) due to some accusations against him. Those accusations were coming from organizers of Polish national championships where Wacha was claimed to be involved in demolishing a room in the hotel where some players stayed.

It looks like he rehabilitated of that incident now.

If the Canadians have good players [world beater types], most likely they will be biased towards their own countrymen... :D Who can blame them... :p

When I lived in North America in the 1990s, the Canadians I know were very proud of their Ice-Hockey players and teams... Because they know they are top-class elites of the sport... So when the situation arises, the Canadian fans I know are also heavily biased towards Canadians players... Human nature laaahh....

I suspect the same BC forum members [from INA and MAS, for example] are not that biased towards their own countrymen in top level tennis... because there are no INA and MAS contenders. Suddenly they tend to just pay attention to individual atheletes rather than the country that player came from...

Any video of Wacha's matches ?

Try the following (all in Polish but you should manage):
1. Go to this site http://sport.tv9.pl/#
2. Find the box with "badminton" on the left hand side and click "szczegóły"
3. New window will pop up. You need to click the speed from the boxes shown

First "256" is friedly match of Poland against Germany - Wacha plays from minut 30.

Second "256" is again Poland-Germany. Wacha plays from the beginning

Third "128" or "350" is different tourney where you can see other Polish players.

Good luck and enjoy.:)

You mean a 10 pages report full of excuses instead? I don't make excuses for anyone... If WCH defeated Wacha, then that's only because one of two(or both) reasons:

1. WCH played better
or
2. Wacha made more mistake thus played worse than WCH

Now if you like to use your imagination somewhat, and expand those 2 answers into a 10 page report, be my guest...:p

Here is a little help how to read it :)

Its not biased, i think it is called patriotic. Whats wrong with being a biased fan of your own countryman? Its in fact a good thing to do, just as long as one does not put others down.
