I bliv the draft in the stadium cost LCW the match....LD lost the 1st game because of the draft....he was constantly sending shuttles out....then came LCW...also sending shuttles out.....LCW played well until the middle of the 3rd game and after the change of courts kept sending shuttles out....however...he was also losing his concentration and making several errors at the net which cost him the game..

i started watching midway through the XD match, watched gao/zheng win, followed by fu/cai in MD, and then lin dan narrowly squeezing by with a win in MS. i am pretty sure there were only those three matches on the TV court...

the other games were played on the other court, not broadcasted.

on another note, i thought both LD and LCW played sub-par games today. neither of them were at their best. LD played a lot slower than one would have expected, while LCW made numerous errors at the net.

I believe both players played reasonably well, considering the draft since the A/C is switched on in the hall. Maybe not the best game, that I agree.

In the latter stages of game 2 and game 3 Lin Dan played a more power game, and did not allow netplay (since today LCW was better at the net). LCW needs to start at the net to force a good lift for him to put away. Whereas Lin Dan, being more powerful, can apply pressure even from the baseline.

Under normal circumstances I would wager for a LD win. However, both players have had a gruelling week of play. WCH seems to have discovered a nice spurt of form and despite beating BCL and LCW, I think it's still unknown whether LD can win tournaments by slugging it out all the way. I think the MD final will be quite interesting. The two pairs haven't squared up to one another for some time now. I'm a big admirer of the Indo pair and was disappointed at their early exit at WC06 and their subsequent drop in form. If I remember correctly, they won a fair amount of times over Fu/Cai.

Now, with Fu/Cai's more accomplished play at the front of the court and Kido/Setiawan's momentary return to form, I think it'll be quite a battle.

I really don't like the sideline calls when they handed the points to Lin Dan. It's really being unfair to Chong Wei. As for TH, he is very moody players. he doesnt need to listen any order frm any body.. IF he doesnt have the desire to win.. He can play any lousy games. Misbun knows the meaning of "gamesmanship" far more better than LYB.

I agree..thats why it is home advantage...if LD plays in Indonesia..I am sure line judge will help TH or sony....it goes to same to matches today in china...plus..sometimes it is hard to tell if the shuttle lands on the line so close.....
